Stayed at this hotel with Canadian friends, they and we were very impressed. despite a large number from a bus booked in the staff advised us the best time for breakfast and they were right. We've stayed at this hotel a few times now and overall it's not too bad. Stopped here en route to Scotland. Excellent value for later in the week; price I paid for B&B for two -- £69. More expensive at start of week. Good location just off of M6, well soundproofed so hardly noticeable. Normal Holiday Inn standards for staff & rooms ie more than good enough.

This hotel feels tired. The rooms are pretty basic and the bathrooms have seen better days.
The bar area is small and the restaurant area lacks any atmosphere. Food was pretty much run-of-the-mill. Breakfasts were ok too.
