Years ago, my wife and I used to stay regularly at the Oatlands and I returned a week or so ago on a midweek stay. I paid £125 for an executive room. And that's the problem. Too many hotels in the UK can get away with these sort of prices for third rate service. For my £125, the TV was... more

Stayed here for a two day company conference with one overnight. The hotel has a lovely spacious feel -- huge lobby, nice bar area and restaurant. Fantastic grounds including lake. A colleague commented that their room was clean but a dated and a bit shabby. My room appeared to have been fairly recently refreshed, albeit in a traditional style. The... more

What a fantastic building to look at, the service was very good although the prices where a tad high. The location is very close to the main high street though where you can pop out for food and a drink at a more reasonable price. The room itself was okay bed very comfortable and the bathroom was huge overall a... more

Stayed here for one night with my boyfriend. The hotel was clean, comfortable and charming. The staff were helpful and cheerful. The location and setting were excellent. We strolled into the village for dinner and had a delicious breakfast at the hotel. A thoroughly enjoyable experience! more

It's a lovely old building in fabulous grounds. The food is great when it arrives. Unfortunately it took an hour to arrive the first time we ate in the lounge bar and the staff just didn't seem that apologetic. The first room I had was huge but worn and the bathroom was mouldy. The styling was very traditional. I also... more

Just returned from a two day stay at the Oatlands Park hotel for a conference and feel I must have stayed at a different place than the reviews I read previously. It was absolutely lovely. Room spacious and comfortable (they've thought of everything). Maybe a little old fashioned given that hotels are now very trendy, but it is meant to... more

Very unimpressed. As the car pulled up to the hotel, it seemed like it would be a nice place. However, the lobby was not an indication for the hotel. My room was all the way in the back. By the way, for any prospective visitors who have trouble with stairs, there is no elevator and a lot walking to get... more

We booked into the hotel for an overnight stay as our friends were getting married locally. The reservation was made on the phone with friendly helpful people. The place has a beautiful setting however the rooms are a gamble some guests had lovely rooms others were quite shabby and small and one non smoking room stank. The hotel reception staff... more

I've stayed at this hotel twice, and had two totally different experiences. On my first stay, I had a very nice double room with en-suite bathroom and couldn't fault anything. My second dtay was somewhat different; a small single room (OK, it was booked through my company but all the same....), and my credit card was charged by the hotel... more

Our family group(husband,me and two children 11 and 13) had a very enjoyable long weekend at Oatlands. The site itself is steeped in history and as my daughter is studying the Tudors at school, it really brought it alive for her. We had a really friendly welcome at Reception and they had booked us in to interconnecting rooms which were... more
