Loved this place, nice friendly and swift check in, the most charming country style room, very clean, very comfy, dog friendly, they have an Indian Restaurant attached and the food was very good, I thoroughly recommend this place.

hotel was perfectly fine, if a little tired, the setting was great, a lovely old house full of character, as a lone female I felt comfortable. The indian restaurant next door though was an experience not to be missed, I ate early and by the time I left it was rammed and this was on great British Bakeoff final night!

I got a very nice, large room with a grand old four-poster and adjoining bathroom. Great. The fact that I could pretty much hear people breathing in the room next door was pretty annoying at first, but then grew to being very frustrating when trying to sleep. The shower was very much a 'learn to love it' affair. It pulsed... More

I drove up to the hotel squeezing past a pile of 20L cooking fat drums in the entrance, then I pulled into a lovely court yard and a nice old farmhouse building, I parked the car and went across to 'reception' to find nobody around, there was however a piece of paper blue-tacked to the door asking people to knock... We stayed for 2 nights. The setting is beautiful. The hotel has a well worn charm...I would describe it as rustic. Could do with a little upgrading. The breakfasts were simple but lovely and the reception was warm. Would stay again.

You drive up and you are welcomed by a listed farm building and across the courtyard an Indian restaurant and this looks a very nice picturesque setting all set back from a busy main road. The place is clean but very dated in its appearance. I mean who puts carpet in bathrooms nowadays. I stayed in room 8 on the... More

The hotel is easy to find following the postcode being entered into a Sat Nav. The entrance is down a small track entered from either direction. It is well sign posted. The car park is in the main court yard of the old farm building. It appears that all the buildings have now been redesigned for hotel use. I was... More

Booked for a business trip, thinking it was a traditional pub/"inn" on the higher end. Found out that the restaurant was outsourced and an indian place.. No pie & mash there.. Just a quite odd dinner with servants I almost got scared off, eye-balling me out while waiting for my company. Got a room with a bath. No shower hose..... More

We stayed in an executive room. It was very clear that the room had seen better days. The sockets for the bedside lamps didn't work so we had to use an extension cable in another plug. The towels, bed linen and soft furnishings were in need of replacement. The shower en-suite needed gutting. The shower head broke and so I... More

Booked this at the last minute for a stop off on the way to London. I stayed here ten years ago and it has changed hands but still would recommend it to anyone. Very friendly welcome, yes like others have said in here, there was a note on the door but one phone call and someone was there within two... More
