We stayed here as a base for the V festival so the main selling point of the hotel was its location right by the train station and the V shuttle bus stop. Apart from that it doesn't really have very much going for it at all. Both our rooms were tiny, very shabby and with views of a brick wall.... More

Room 124 was noisy day and night with heavy traffic outside. The room was compact with only one chair in a double room,a small old TV was working most of the time. The canteen was basic as was the food, lamb liver was a constant each evening with the veg raw but warm, fish pie of tinned tuna only covered with mash, grim.

Stayed in the hotel now where does my experience start, took ages to check in, the room I wouldn't even let a dog stay there never mins a human being, walked in the room massive black marks all over the carpets, the skirting boards hadn't been cleaned for years, all coffee stains all up the wall, looked like it needed... The room we were allocated on the second floor at the front of the building was a good size compared to what other guests were saying. The bedding was clean but the rest of the room was well worn and shabby with missing wallpaper, yellowing nets & a sticky carpet. Soap had been left on the side of the bath... More

Firstly. We asked for a non smoking room and when we opened the door it was definitely a smoking room by the smell! We requested a different room happened again so we gave up and put up with it. Rooms weren't dusty but weren't clean either hairs left in sink. Tap not wiped over net curtains needed washing bed wasn't... More

Overall the stay was acceptable. Communication between staff and guests needs to be improved. A choice of liver for the evening meal every day was a bit over the top. Apart from that the food was plentiful and adequate. The rooms were clean and the lifts worked. Would stay there again as it was in a good location.

Stayed here on a coach trip, was expecting the hotel from hell after reading some of the bad reviews. The hotel is ok, typical for a Britannia hotel. The room was clean, bit worn and indeed of some updating but had good towels and clean bedding. The windows very dirty and spoiled view, hadn't been cleaned for along time! Was... More

Was really disappoint with my recent stay . Me and my family stayed there as an over night stop. I had lived in Wolverhampton for years and had heard many positives about the hotel weddings and Christmas party's so when I came to stay coming from Kent it was my first choice. I was really disappointed to be in a... More

I stayed her two years ago as a private guest, had a terrible experience and never wanted to return, booked a coach weekend trip, and this was the hotel was absolutely dreading it, but when we arrived it had cleaned up a bit, the female duty manager checked us in she was lovely, and very accommodating we were staying with...
