We did a coach trip with National Coaches to Shrewsbury and the Wye Valley based at this hotel. We had a couple of complaints about our room which were put right immediately. good food, very nice staff would certainly go again. Only complaint slight traffic noise at front.

went wolverhampton racecourse and only cab ride away 4 or 5 pound weatherspoon opposite ,would just say with parking if after 10 in morning cheaper than hotel quote plus a pain getting it stamped at train station easier just to pay at carpark ,rooms just ok and does for short stay although can end up walking ages looking for rooms

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night would not like to stay any longer. Went with a group of friends . My meal was eatable but other people in the group did not like there's. The hotel needs updating and doesn't have a good feeling about it. Some of the groups beds were uncomfortable with springs showing , but mine... More

Have recently returned from this hotel and was glad to get home for a good meal! The dining room was like a works canteen and the food was just shocking. I lived on vegetables for the four days we were there as I dare not chance eating the meat. Nothing was cooked properly and the one time I attempted to... More

This is the worst hotel i have ever visited, the first room that we were offered had damp down one wall, with bubbling wallpaper, ceiling looked like it was about to cave in, the tv was off its bracket and didn't work, the bathroom was a disgrace, the second room didn't have damp but was just as bad as the... To start with when we booked our wedding it all seemed to be good until the staff who were looking after us left and things discussed got lost. I feel there was only one person who was really helpful and that was kath all the problems that we had she resolved for us. When having the reception the meal was... More

We stayed here as a base for the V festival so the main selling point of the hotel was its location right by the train station and the V shuttle bus stop. Apart from that it doesn't really have very much going for it at all. Both our rooms were tiny, very shabby and with views of a brick wall.... More

Room 124 was noisy day and night with heavy traffic outside. The room was compact with only one chair in a double room,a small old TV was working most of the time. The canteen was basic as was the food, lamb liver was a constant each evening with the veg raw but warm, fish pie of tinned tuna only covered with mash, grim.

Stayed in the hotel now where does my experience start, took ages to check in, the room I wouldn't even let a dog stay there never mins a human being, walked in the room massive black marks all over the carpets, the skirting boards hadn't been cleaned for years, all coffee stains all up the wall, looked like it needed... The room we were allocated on the second floor at the front of the building was a good size compared to what other guests were saying. The bedding was clean but the rest of the room was well worn and shabby with missing wallpaper, yellowing nets & a sticky carpet. Soap had been left on the side of the bath... More
