Very well located and that's the only positive thing I can say about the Britannia Hotel. Our room was prepaid but it still took an age for us to book in - the Receptionist couldn't find our booking even when we gave our confirmation number. The main hotel reception certainly needed a good clean. We were eventually given the key... More

Booked the Britannia Hotel back in June when we got tickets for a Saturday night concert with Paloma Faith at the Civic Hall, Wolverhampton. I booked it because it is very convenient for the train station and the Civic Hall and Rosso e nero Italian restaurant where we'd made reservation for pre-concert dinner. On the Friday afternoon before travelling on... More

Oh Dear, this is a hotel for cheap coach trip groups only. If you have had a long day travelling/working or want a romantic getaway, then think again. Can't see there has been any money spend on rooms & decor since about 1987

Arrived at Brittania hotel Wolverhampton in group of 9. Reception was not busy but took over 15 minutes to check us in . We booked 3 triple rooms and got 1 triple and 2 family rooms! Not ideal with 9, 40 year plus men on the lash to watch the darts. to be fair after we saw the manager (i... More

So get to the hotel, this first thought was this looks s**t, but thought let's not judge a book by its cover, so to speak, how wrong I was. The receptionist was moody and didn't realise that my company pay for the room and food, this confused the poor woman so took 20 for her to check me in. I... More

Location good, next door to the Grand Theatre and easy walk into town. Parking is on a British Rail car park. That's the good points. Booked a double room which was definitely a single room with a 3/4 bed pushed against the wall. The radiator control was smashed so we couldn't turn the heating down and as the window opened... More

Having read the reviews on here we entered the hotel with trepidation. Room wasn't quite ready for us so we were directed to the bar. Fair to say that there are some colourful characters knocking around drinking in there but they were friendly & chatty so that was fun! The room was small, dated and looking a bit shabby but... More

First impressions - rough. Arrived on a busy Friday night, so check- in took an age. The lobby and hotel in general appears dated and shabby. We were given a double ensuit room on the third floor. It could only be described as compact. The ensuit was basic, in need of decoration, towels clean but thin. The bed was comfortable.... More

Stayed here twice, the first time they took my money out of my account before check in, the second time I stayed there they claimed they do not take pre payment, so I had to pay again. I checked my bank account and fair enough they had not taken the money out. Anyway, our room was filthy on the both... More

Spent 3 nights with a coach tour and for the money we paid we got basic. The food wasnt good, the room we had looked like it had had a leak in the ceiling, the bed had clean sheets and the towels were clean but as far as anything else goes, take your ear plugs as student night across the... More
