Jul 28, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

On the 28th July 2009 at approx. 6:45pm, my mother, my sister and me went into the Beechwood for a quick drink, as we were going to look at a nearby flat to buy. A carer and two mentally disabled people walked in, one got excited and shouted, not horrbily, but as you would expect a mentally disabled person to... more

Unless they actually change their customer service skills and communication between their staff I wouldn't bother. We were due to have our wedding reception there in June,(our friends had said good things about it, must have been before the previous... more

On the 13th December 2008 I held my 21st Birthday party at the Beechwood Hall Hotel, I had previosuly been to look at it in August when it looked fine, however did not look at the rooms. I booked my Mum in to a room, my grandparents and some friends all into rooms in the hotel thinking it would be... more

We have been regular visitors to Beechwood Hall and cannot understand or believe the total lack of interest that the owners/managers/staff have in, not only the hotel and grounds themselves but in their clientele. The driveway is full of potholes which one has to negotiate carefully to avoid damage to ones car. It is criminal that a place which such... more

This place has basically gone down the tube. The website is promising, but indoors and out this is a severe case of neglect - of both the building and the guests. The web site description of an ambience like a country house is a very bad joke indeed - Archers listeners may ponder on the Grundys at Grange Farm. At... more

Having booked our reservation over the phone we were assured that we would receive confirmation by e-mail but this never happened despite sending two e-mails, when I eventually rang to see what had happened the reply was on the'How do I know ?' theme. I began to have doubts then. Our 'Luxury room' turned out to be somewhat below average,... more
