My wife and I have just returned from a three day stay at The Beach. We arrived to check in at 2.00pm and our room wasn't available as a new carpet was being laid in the corridor. Which meant every room had to be vacuumed again to get rid of the carpet bits. . No problem they swapped rooms with... more

No complaints at all. Room looked like it had been updated recently. While the rest of the hotel has seen better times, it is very clean and the staff helpful and pleasant. We needed an early breakfast before the restaurant opened and were delighted to be offered continental breakfast delivered to the room at a time that suited us and... more

I'd originally planned to stay in Brighton but, in the end, the Beach provided much better value. I was offered a single room for £58 a night (it was actually a double), this includes breakfast and car parking (both of which would have extra at even the Brighton Premier Inn). The room was quite well appointed in a modern style... more

My stay got off to a good start with the good sized free car park. Check in was fine: two friendly receptionists who later doubled as welcoming bar staff. A friend of mine with a baby found that the receptionists had a welcoming child friendly manner. The bedroom was not luxurious, but quiet, comfortable, warm, clean, and well furnished; and... more

I called to get rates of the hotel for a double room for two for an anniversary. I was told £63 I called the next day to book and was given a higher cost. When I questioned this, I was told that £63 was the rate for a single room and that there was nothing that i could do but... more

Th Beach Hotel is the quintessence of a traditional seaside hotel. The rooms and lounges are comfortable and the cuisine was excellent. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The seaviews are great, especially from the sheltered terrace. Comfortable beds and plenty of tea/coffee and biscuits in the room. The hotel is especially suited to an older crowd, seeking... more

I booked a bouble room at the Beach Hotel for two nights in June as my wife and i were visiting a relative. The website gave the impression that the stay would be memorable, words like" 4 star .. luxurious" do tend to give that impression. The reality is the Hotel is probably considered luxurious in some eastern european countries,... more

The hotel was old fashioned and needed a refurb but I think the hotel played on this charm, as it was like going back in time! The room was small but adequate; the bathroom was OK but again old fasioned with a shower curtain over the bath. The car park was supposed to be shut at 11.30 but we arrived... more
