Booked a twin room with sea view on a Saturday night. Room was excellent. Very clean, large with sofa. Wonderful views with 4 window looking out to the sea. Staff very polite and courteous. Breakfast was enjoyable with waitress service, rather than having to endure the hustle and bustle of buffet service. This is how British seaside hotels should be... more

This hotel is on the shore of English Channel. I used to have see the sunrise from my bed and it is so pleasant. When I see from the window I see the road and after that the shore of english channel. The food was so delicious and I got to get good curry and the hotel chef tried his... more

Stay here a single night on business Have stayed at the hotel before and though some of the decor is dated - the room I had previously was a good size, well laid-out and very comfortable Had room 227 this time Room is quite a bit smaller and the bathroom is squeezed in at the end of the room. Delightful... more

The floors creak, the bed squeeked, the place was so overheated that we wanted to leave the bedroom window open but the traffic noise outside is horendous, even well out of season. The bedroom floor sloped and the room was tiny for a double! Would we stay again? Not on your life! Parking, even out of season, is OK if... more

Having just come back from an organised Ladies weekend, feel that some of the previous reviews leave the wrong impression. We found little problem parking in the immediate square, it is of coruse late in the season. The hotel had parking vouchers for half and full day parking at £3 & £4. Yes the hotel was dated but generally clean... more

We stayed in the Chatsworth for our wedding night. The double bedded room was priced originally at £130.00 but I got an online discount of £50.00 and so payed £80.00 and I think that was too much!! Firstly parking is a problem due to no hotel car park. There is parking aroung Steyne Gardens directly in front of the hotel... more

Car parking is free from 6pm until 9am, we are able to provide parking vouchers at the Hotel for £4.00 for a full day and £3.00 for a half day for the parking around Steyne gardens. Since September 2008 we have power showers available, and all showers have a thermostat to control the temperature. All sea view rooms do have...

Staying in this Hotel is a unique expierience. On arrival the un interested receptionist gave the keys with no hint of a smile of welcome. It was a beautiful sunny day in Worthing unlike the welcome in the Chatsworth. My room at the top of the hotel was up a winding stairwell that was at an angle, how a peron... more

The Chatsworth Hotel is over 200 years old and uneven floors are quite common in a property of this age. Our prices are competitive compared to other 3 stars Hotel within the Worthing area. After several comments from our guests, since September 2008 we have had power showers available and a termostat to control the temperature.

The hotel should not be charging more than about £50 or £60 per room per night. Its shabby, tired, in need of a decent clean, the staff are slow, the breakfast is pretty poor and the corridors look like the set of a ghastly 80s horror movie! The beds aren't comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel is still in the era of... more

We booked two nights here in a family room to have a long weekend by the sea. On arrival, we were lucky enough to be able to park near the hotel (parking could be a problem, I think). The front desk was very efficient and helpful, and the room was ready early. The room itself was clean and tidy -... more

Food - The food wasn't anything special - typical of mass production and slightly pricey for the quality and quantity. Room - the usual attempt to update an older building. Bathroom - first night one was not great and rubbish shower over bath, second night shower enclosure was much better. Staff - most were polite and efficient. (see below) Location... more
