Surprised to find such a shabby room with dirty mugs for tea and toothmugs that were filthy. Even worse were the hairs from previous occupants on the bathroom floor. And no shower gel - don't they clean or check the rooms? Continental breakfasts usually have more than one croissant per person and even the one delivered was small and crushed... More

I stayed with my two daughters on the way to a family funeral. We had booked a large room with 3 singles; on checking in, this was no longer available. But the owner quickly gave us a double and a twin instead (same rate). Although the guest house had taken a deposit on my booking, we were charged the full... More

The staff were welcoming, the room was clean and very comfortable, the location was good for Ashford International. It was good value for money, in quiet, pleasant surroundings and I would definitely stay again. Only minor gripes - the shower was insipid, no water pressure, and the long quilt covers on the beds were too heavy and were a tripping... More

good location, private parking, very good pub 5 min. walk (The Conningbrook) clean and spacious rooms, clean bathroom shower is a disaster. you can shower with cold or scalding water. nothing in between. impossible to wash my long hair, my partner had to help me with a jug! breakfast ok, coffee aka brown water tasted like instant coffee. they have... Hotel was spotlessly clean with spacious rooms and large bathroom. Good private parking. Booking in was difficult and after 10 minutes of owner trying to decide which room to put us in we were finally given a double bedded room although we had requested a twin on the original booking. Website advertises rooms with hairdryer and small fridge - ours... More

We were warmly welcomed by the lovely owner Sean. It was a very spontaneous decision to go to 'Downsview', we just were on the search for a b&b. Anyway it was no problem to get a lovely and clean room, comfortable and quiet as well. We got a bright and spacious room, the beds were cosy. The stuff were all... More

Our second time at Downsview and this time we had a family room. Light and airy, the bedroom and ensuite were immaculately clean and the beds very comfortable. Just a few yards up the road is a pub which serves excellent meals and we slept like logs - very quiet overnight. Breakfast was very good and the lady who looks... More

Stayed here before so decided to book again. Had room 6 this time and just as good as room 3; very comfortable, quiet and B&B is in an ideal location for us. Skipped breakfast but only because our friends treated us - noticed that there's still the same really good selection though! Will stay here again on next visit to... More

Firstly I must say that we booked the top floor 2 bedroom self catering apartment, not one of the B&B rooms. Stayed here as a family of 4, (2 adults, 2 children). The apartment had everything we needed for a self catered extended stay for our visit to Ashford. Plenty of cooking utensils, clean and new bathroom, washing machine and... More
