We were travelling to Ashford for a family members wedding. Booked the 3 bed accommodation through booking.com and confirmed time of arrival through email. We arrived at specified time but no one was there, either at accommodation, or at the B&B . Sat outside calling the number provided for an hour and no answer! Totally unprofessional. We got a call back, 2 hours from our arrival time, and the person who rang back wasnt very helpful and all we got was we should have phoned his mobile (which was not provided). We had to find alternative accommodation for the weekend which was stressful on a late Friday evening. Would not book again!

Booked a twin room several weeks prior to our arrival and followed up with an email stipulating our request for a twin room, which was acknowledged and agreed by the owner. On arrival ( long drive from Shropshire) we were informed our room had been given to someone else! Offered us a room with a super king sized bed which only had a thin king sized sheet on it and a very thin throw on top! Room smelt of stale tobacco and no on-suite, loo at the end of the hall and shower upstairs. Owner refunded us and we found better accommodation elsewhere. Very disappointed.

Had a lovely stay here recently. The setting is beautiful and the room was large and airy. Bed was comfy, and the service efficient. Great value for money very much enjoyed ourselves, thank you! It was probably the nicest view from a hotel I've had before.

Came as a group to Plumpton House, and got various rooms. All were extremely dated in design and looked tired. There were many spider webs and lots of dust. (Even a leak from one of the bathrooms into the kitchen). However, what took the crown here, was the smell of one of the rooms. The stench of cigarettes could be smelt from the hallway. It was totally unbearable for the first hour but got better progressively over the next few hours. We used a grand total of 2 febreeze cans to keep the smell at bay. The showers were also terrible. There was no water pressure and the floor/bottom of the walls were grimy and sticky. Idid not expect much but this house was definitely sub bar with my expectations. The only plus was the tennis court, where the net was ripped and hung very low. Overall, I do not recommend and I am sure that there are better places to stay at.

This was a last minute late night pitstop on a work trip and I was really pleasantly supervised by how lovely the place was for a very bargain price! Classically proportioned 18th century English farmhouse with huge simple but elegant rooms. Lovely and quiet as well as convenient Wifi worked fine for me, and plug sockets easily reached behind the bed. Breakfast was buffet style including cooked breakfast. A good range, and I liked the toaster at each table. It would have been good to have a note asking people to sanitise their hands on entry to the breakfast room for Covid reasons, especially with lifting the lid of the bain marie. Otherwise all was simple, easy and relaxed. Wish I had stayed longer!

We stayed here for one night. Host was welcoming. We were down last for breakfast so the cooked breakfast in the tray was cold. Beds were comfortable, but carpet needed replacing....and never a fan of carpet on bathrooms! (Just persoanl preference). Very peaceful location and lots of space for cars. Lovely view from our room.

I booked this BnB for one night only as I was visiting family that day. Booked it for myself, my 2 year old little girl and my parents. Rooms we lovely, clean and good size. Shared bathroom outside of room between us only which was perfect. Beautiful location, so quiet and good parking. Breakfast was really good and more than expected for a bnb booking, not sure what everyone is whinging about to be honest....what kind of breakfast do you expect for this kind of booking??? The only thing I would feedback to the owners of this lovely place is breakfast was a little late (in my opinion) just as myself and my little girl are up from 6.30 so waiting till 8 was hard so maybe from 7 or even 7.30? But this didn’t destroy our trip and thoughts of the place:)

We booked Plumpton House for an overnight stopp on our journey from Germany to Cornwall and in a way we regretted not to stay longer. In the past we experienced some B&Bs on the island but this one with its modern and spicy rooms was definitely one of the best. Keep on going and we‘ll be back. Thank you. Winfried Germany

Really nice place. Excellent sized rooms, large ensuite. Beautiful location with amazing views. The lady that runs it is really nice and went above and beyond to support my daughter who has a dairy allergy.
