The hotel is actually more like a guest house but acceptable for business needs and also for family if renting one of the larger out rooms. What is presently suprising about this place is the quality of food. The resteraunt is authentic Italian and the food freshley prepared to a very high standard. Absolute nightmare - owners didn't seem to care or bother to assist the guests. Only a very nice girl at the reception who tried her best to accommodate and make feel like home. We were booked to stay one night here but were treated with such indifference on arrival that we didn't linger. The Croft sits on a busy road and the reception area certainly has a very scruffy appearance, as do the staff. The other reviews seem to confirm our original suspicions. We did well to move on! more

I have just had an awful experience at this hotel. The first room we were put in was not properley cleaned, there was no hot water and the room did not lock from the inside.
