Brief mid-week half term escape for my teacher-partner and me. easy to find in Wye (the village is far too pretty with some old buildings and couple of decent pubs selling and sits amongst some fine Kentish countryside). Gregory (who seems to be front of house host, waiter, tourist information guide and manager) greeted us in the car park and... more

I stayed at this restaurant with rooms (turned out that's all it is!!!!!) on my wedding night along with all my close relatives. There was no one to help when my mother was locked out of her room due to a faulty door jamming. The staff when they did turn up said that the owner knew about the problem but... more

It is rather a shame that this lady had a bad experience at The Wife Of Bath, especially on her wedding night! But that was 3 years ago... The Wife Of Bath has been under new ownership and management for the last 2 years. Both rooms and dinning room have been totally refurbished and we take a lot of pride...

My wife and I stayed at the Wife of Bath for Valentine's Day. Our room was charming and spotlessly clean. Despite the fact we were eating on one of the busiest nights of the year the meal was superb, as good as we have eaten in some restaurants holding a Michelin star. Service was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive.... more

We chose to stay at this "Restaurant with Rooms" as it calls itself to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary with out friends and family joining us for a meal. Wye is a pretty Kentish village and this small hotel is very attractive, situated in the heart of the village. We were given a lovely room with large four poster bed.... more

This was our third stay in the last year and again we were more than satisfied with the food both in our evening meal and at breakfast the following morning. Our room with its view of beautiful old buildings across the quiet street was fresh and comfortable. The bed was firm with good linen and a comfortable duvet. The room... more

The Wife of Bath describes itself as a Restaurant With Rooms and there are definitely 2 parts to it. First the food: absolutely fantastic. Really good and pretty good value too. We (two people) had 2 courses and shared a desert, plus a few drinks and it came to about £85 - for excellent food. The service was also top... more

I have stayed at the Wife of Bath twice in the space of a few weeks. On both occassions the staff have been very friendly and helpful, the food excellent, and the room clean and comfortable. At less than £100 for dinner bed and breakfast it is great value as well. The Wife of Bath makes an excellent alternative to... more

We only stayed on a saturday night at this lovely little place, but cannot recommend it enough. Firstly though, it is not a hotel. It is a restaurant with lovely rooms so do not expect room service, drinks at the bar all day long, elevators etc. The room was excellent and genuinely olde worlde with the most comfortable bed I... more

Spent one night at this delightful village hotel. Staff are very friendly and professional. Rooms have a homely cottage feel. Food as good as any top notch London restaurant. A great stop off if travelling on to France as we did. more

This small hideaway has an excellent restaurant - serving English food to London standards - and clean rooms. The location is great for a relaxing break. Canterbury and a range of villages are nearby. more
