I wanted to get away from the hassle of Christmas in London so booked Ashford Travelodge for Christamas Eve and Christmas Day - leaving Boxing Day morning. The hotel was excellent and the staff were super - a credit to Travelodge - the two young men on reception were simply excellent. My mother and I booked two rooms which we... More

The best thing about this travel lodge is the staff. When the lift broke down soon after we arrived, the staff were more than happy to move us to the ground floor, one even helped move the luggage. We didn't try the food, the place was a bit run down (in fairness they are having a refurb next month). The... More

I use this Travelodge as a convenient stopover before or after Eurotunnel. I think things are improving, though reading other reviews I may just have been lucky. I've found the carpets, furniture and fittings in a better state of repair than previously. Nice new fluffy towels and even a soap dispenser in the bathroom were a nice touch. Good to... More

Checked into hotel and was appalled by the state of the room. The lock was falling off the door and the inside wasn't much better! The rooms are in urgent need of a makeover which is due to start in January 2015......thank god!

Stayed as a family of three on the way back from a trip to France. It's an easy journey from the Dover ferry to the hotel, which was appreciated after a long drive through France. The room was clean and tidy, though if honest the double bed comfort was only average, while the second bed mattress was definitely too hard.... More

In a superb location surrounded by chain restaurants and a cinema, eating on a budget is no problem. The staff are unfailingly polite and helpful and the hotel is all you want from a budget chain. Clean, modern, breakfast is good and evening meals whilst all ding ding (microwave) are good value, if uninspiring. Rooms are reasonably equipped and quiet,... More

Stayed here overnight with partner and my son. Room was warm and clean. Beds were comfy and clean. Can't fault it at all. Hotel is situated in a business park with plenty of places around to eat. These range from burger king to Nandos. Highly recommended.

Despite this being a "newish" Travelodge it does need refurbishing already. The room was clean but the carpet in the room as well as the corridor needs replacing. I suppose my overall thoughts about it is 'could do better'

We often stay in this Travelodge on our way to France but I only left just one review in June 2013. The location is ideal for the Channel Tunnel and Dover. Although the hotel has not been refurbished and it is still looking a bit tired, the bed and pillows are new and extremely comfortable with excellent good quality crisp... More

Well located, lots of places to eat near by. After frustration with there website being unable to login, I was hoping stay would be good. Main light not working, and another bulb missing gave a poor impression. Travelling with young children there was a firealarm and no staff came to tell us it was safe to go back into the... More
