The Bowling Green doesn't look like much from the outside, in fact you're hard pressed to find it at all set away from the main road. From the minute you enter the service is friendly and personal but a bit hurried.
The rooms are very clean, furnished to a high standard, with the exception of an all too small TV set so far enough away from the beds that you may need binoculars to watch anything.
Despite being right next to the M40, you're in for a quiet night unless it's a hot day and windows need to be opened.
The internet isn't up to much either. On three visits I've never had very good signal strength and unfortunately the owners don't seem to know much about technology or even the wifi's location.
The food is good, home-cooked and reasonably priced. I've seen far worse cost me far more but it certainly doesn't fulfil the potential usually associated with "home-cooked". It's honest and simple, to a fault.
