Booked the Deddington Arms for a w/e getaway with an old school friend. Hotel is centrally located in the charming village of Deddington. This large village has some interesting and attractive buildings (we printed a nice walk from the internet), a few restaurants, pubs and small independent shops. We booked an 'executive' twin and were disappointed. I viewed a non-executive... more

The hotel is very welcoming, staff very friendly. The restaurant is very pleasant surroundings with exceptional serving staff, headed by Claire, everything they do comes with a smile. Food was first class. On the whole we had a very enjoyable time more

I was apprehensive after reading other reviews but we have just enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this hotel. The room, although not huge, was comfortable and lovely and cosy. We tried a lunchtime meal to check out the food and it was tasty and well presented so had no worries booking an evening meal. We were thankful we had as... more

We spent the August bank holiday weekend at the hotel. The overall experience was disappointing. Especially when considering value for money, the hotel did not live up to standards one would expect for that price level. During our stay we felt that thehotel was being run for cash only by a distant manager who feels he/ she does not need... more

If you're looking for traditional English charm - that is, from the Basil Fawlty school of hospitality - then this place will do nicely. You're certainly encouraged to meet your fellow guests - well at least, by the time I'd heard them through the ceiling and both walls, it felt like I knew them well. The staff, on the other... more

When I first contacted the hotel by phone to make the booking, I was quoted a much higher price than I could see online. I mentioned I was a guest at an event for which the organiser had block-booked some rooms, and was told this was the rate the hotel were charging for the block booking! I got the same... more

We had booked our room for the weekend weeks in advance and upon arriving were provided with a very nice room. Only upon check out were we surprised to discover it had been charged at a higher rate than booked. Unbelievabley they insisted that we had been upgraded as it was the only room available and we would heve to... more

Stayed here on business in Feb, the rooms are ok but a bit overpriced, however the food at the resturants was simply EXCELLENT. If visiting this area I would recommend this resturant and would say it is some of the best food I have eaten more

The hotel was not bad, we had a fairly nice split level room. We tried to have a drink in the bar, but the TV was tuned into sport and was far too lud for comfort. We retired to the restaurant, which was very well furnished and gave us high hopes of a good meal. My partner's meal was ok,... more
