The Easington House Hotel is at best an average B&B. We felt we were rather a nuisance and not particularly welcome. This was apparent first when we telephoned to book (and maybe I should have picked up the signals then but also when we arrived - maybe this was because we were only staying for one night but I did... Thank you for taking the time to post your review, however I disagree with some of your comments, you may have as much toast as required. The bedding is to match the room décor, we only have blankets under the throw at this time of year, our laundry is delivered and spotlessly clean. More

I have stayed at the Easington for numerous nights over a space of 3 weeks. The decor of the house is very smart and well done and has a 'homey' feel to it and each room is unique. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. The food was great as well. I recommend the lamb shank. All in all, I... More

I really enjoyed my stay here. Staff were friendly but business-like and efficient. Breakfast was great. The fried English breakfast is good there & sets you up for the day, but there are other options. Our room was clean and tidy but quite small. It was very quiet which meant a good night's sleep. I had the Steak & Ale... More

Great old house with lots of character. We stayed in room 1 which was really big even with a king size and a single bed. Up two steps to a big bathroom with plenty fresh towels. Window looked onto front garden and main road. Very handy to town centre. Very friendly staff. Breakfast well cooked and good range of fried... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We do however offer a wide choice of breakfast items for a small guest house, with regards to hearing people moving about, the building is 600 years old so floor boards will creak. More

I am surprised other reviewers thought that Easington House was a hotel rather than a guest house. I booked it on Evivo.com and understood it to be a guest house from the start. 4 stars for a guest house is assessed on facilities provided and as far as I saw they were all there. Debbie met us on arrival and... More

We arrived on the Friday to meet friends from Canada. The lady who "greeted us" was, we presume, the manager. She was very sharp, almost to the point of rudeness. We were shown to a room at the very top of the house. Small and cramped, yes we know the house is very old, but expected old world charm, not... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, however I disagree with your comments. The room is clean, tidy and enough room to cater for two people. We are not a Hotel but a Guest house. The building was once a farm house and not multi purpose built, all the rooms are of different sizes, we also provide... More

My husband and I recently spent 3 days at Easington House - a lovely place to stay. The staff were very pleasant and we had a lovely breakfast every day and an evening meal which was very good. We had room 12 I believe which was in the attic with a low beam so you had to be careful but... More

Although listed under ‘Hotels’ on some booking sites, Easington House is a guesthouse and not calling it ‘Easington Guesthouse’ is misleading but no doubt profitable. When classified as a hotel the 4 star rating is the most misleading and incorrect issue – it should be about 1 or 2 stars as a hotel. It is a pleasant building in lovely... More

Thank you for your review, however I strongly disagree with your point of view. We are a 4 star GUEST HOUSE & not a hotel. We offer a great choice of breakfast items to cater for everyone needs, you only had to ask for a extra slice of fried bread, we had not run out of white bread. We have... More

This was our second stay at this B/B Hotel, the first time was in May 2014. Our first visit was extremely good and we were glad to be able to book again for our recent stay. All the staff were very friendly which gave the Hotel a nice warm family feel to it. The accommodation is full of character and... More

stayed here whilst I was working in Banbury for a few days about 2 weeks ago, staff were really friendly. I got a free upgrade to their 4 poster room with a on suite roll top bath. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was really good, and I was so pleased to find that poached eggs were available. the only minor... More
