We stayed 3 nights as we were sightseeing around Oxford. I cannot over emphasise the super service Robert and his staff gave us. The food in the restaurant was very good. We ate there first night with a view to going elsewhere for the other two but ate there every night as the food and ambiance was good. Would recommend... more

I booked this hotel as it looked like a nice small hotel in a good location (not far from silverstone) and they reviews on here were pretty good.. All i can say if you are going to stay at this hotel is dont book a double bed and ask for a room away from the front of the hotel! Our... more

We've just returned from a three-night Twixmas break at the Holcombe in Deddington. After a hectic Christmas it was the ideal place to unwind. I would decribe the Holcombe as an upmarket B&B or a bijou hotel with staff that are young, enthusiastic and very helpful. On arrival we were shown to a very small room with no wardrobe or... more

After reading about the disappointing food and the hideous decor, one might be forgiven for feeling apprehensive about staying here. However, dinner was pleasant while not inspiring and breakfast was very acceptable, and certainly decent value. One would agree that the Mediterranean decor was inappropriate, but no worse than that. One advantage is that the dining facilities at the Deddington... more

we stayed at the hotel last year and thought it was very nice, so we decided to stay again this year. the hotel has undergone a major refurbishment of the bedrooms and the restaurant and lounge area. restaurant food is mediterranean, with good sized portions and excellent value for money. breakfast in the morning was also excellent and set us... more

Characterful hotel in a delightful Cotswold village. We stayed there for a wedding and only eat lunch in the hotel. This was taken in a small bar and was fine. The "executive double" was at the top of the main building--up a narrow, twisting staircase into the roof space! But there was plenty of room, a comfortable bed and modern, well-kept... more

A 3 star Best Western seemed just the ticket, even though UK prices always seem to be way too high in comparison with continental Europe. The room was fine ( air con would have been welcome even though the weather was not particularly warm for UK July ) and the shower / WC room was very good. What lets this... more
