Wow, I stayed there for the last 2 nights, Fri and Sat. I called ahead as I was arriving late at night, and the lady owner was very welcoming. The room was exactly as described when I booked. It was very clean, the en suite was plenty big enough for me and also very clean. The wifi was plenty fast... More

I required a B&B for an overnight stay in Banbury, a town I knew well until leaving 55years ago. Avonlea , chosen at random from the net, turned out to absolutely ideal. It is very near the town centre, the Cross, Market Place and the newish large shopping complex. One could leave a car at Avonlea and walk to these... More

I stayed at Avonlea guest house in May, 2015. The owner Debi is great, we got on famously. The location of this particular B&B suits me best because the walk to and from town is level. There are no long, steep hills to climb, which I appreciate. There is a flight of steep stairs to the 2nd level. I was... More

This was a wonderful B&B! Debbie was very nice and welcoming! The room was very clean but slightly on the small size and the bedside lamp fiddly to use . There was ample free parking and a great breakfast It is a little bit of a walk in to the town centre, but no longer than 10 minutes. I would... More

I stayed one night on business and it was ideal. Everything was clean and tidy, there is parking at the front and I was able to walk to Banbury Cross in a few minutes. Excellent breakfast and conveniently located for any of the industrial parks/office centres in Banbury.

We arrived Sunday evening and were the only people staying that evening. We were greated by Debbie and shown to our room. The room was very tidy and clean and had everything you needed for one night's stay. Breakfast was ready for us at 9am, with options of cereals, yogurts, toast, cooked breafast, and teas/juices. We had a cooked breakfast... More

We stayed here for 7 nights, had a nice clean room-e-suite and a perfect host who spoiled us with an excellent breakfast to the order. If you are looking for a place to stay with personal attention and close to a village centre, don't look any further because this is IT.

Good room, tastefully decorated breakfast room, ample parking, friendly owner who cooked a lovely breakfast. Walking distance to the centre of Banbury, close to Oxford and Blenheim palace. We were there for two nights and had a lovely stay, value for money.

We stayed for 2 nights at this B&B. It is located some 10 minutes walk from the centre of Banbury where there are plenty of places to eat. It is situated on the main road which has busy traffic and effects sleep quality if you leave the windows open. If closed then its OK. Our room on the first floor... More
