The only thing preventing an excellent rating was the fact that the twin beds are a little old and need replacing. Roger is aware and they will be replaced- probably by now. We loved the location, the décor and the breakfasts were outstanding - best poached eggs in 8 weeks holiday.

Location in the city is perfect. Just a 5 minute walk from the busstation and 10 from the train (which you'd hardly use). Coming from Manchester airport its cheapest to take the bus £5,80 instead of £16,40. Travel Time is about the same. The house lies in a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. It certainly is a house full of treasures,... More

I recently stayed here whilst away on business. I stayed in room 2.The room and food were top notch. Roger, Maria and the staff made my stay very enjoyable. I highly recommend this B&B to single travellers, couples and families!

Lovely place to stay within short walking distance to all of buxtons main attractions. The rooms are very cosy and inviting and we found the sleep quality to be excellent. This place is very quiet and peaceful which is what we really appreciated after a long walk over the moorlands and the beautiful dales. Very substantial breakfast each morning which... More

Very glad we found this place on a friends recommendtion. We have tried quite a few places in Buxton and found this to be the best so far. Quality and value for money. Substantial breakfast and comfortable r ooms. Will make sure we will return on a regular basis. Many thanks Roger ana Maria for your hospitality.

We had a lovely stay, quiet, comfy and slept well. Up for breakfast fairly early, which we enjoyed. When we came downstairs to leave, we we accused of stealing a tiny jam pot. We were not asked nicely if we had mislaid this or something, but three of us were asked directly to bring the jam pot down again!? As... More

Hi Anji P, or as you say `Extremely upset Customer`? Hope your feeling better now ! We do prefer to call our visitors `Welcome Guests`, not just to identify them as `Customers` etc. One would envisage ( perhaps in this case) a more apt description of a `Customer` to be someone `trolling` down to the local corner shop to purchase... My daughter and I stayed here for one night, it was a last minute booking so had no expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised. Warm and friendly welcome even though we arrived earlier than planned. Our room (Rm 3) was spotlessly clean, comfy beds with everything we needed. We also had a great vegetarian cooked breakfast, nothing was too much... More
