I was blown away by Barms Farm - the whole place as spotless, tidy with great facilities and a hostess who was extremely helpful without being "in your face". What struck me most was the impeccable condition which the grounds and the house are kept, whilst still keeping a homely feel. The area around Buxton was a pleasure as well... More

A weekend in the best part of England - Wonderfully looked after, welcoming, always friendly and helpful, log fire to come back to in the evenings in a living room dedicated to visitors, big beds and spacious rooms = going home feeling as if we'd been away for a week! Many thanks!

So pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Barms Farm recently and that you left feeling so rested . I hope that you enjoyed the farm fresh eggs laid by my chickens. They have been sunbathing today - no need to light the log burner! Hopefully we will see you again if you re-visit this lovely part of England. Lorraine More

This really is a special place ! We booked all three rooms and met 2 other couples there (friends who live in different parts of the country) for two nights. It was a perfect arrangement as we had all 3 bedrooms plus the very comfortable sitting room with log burner all to ourselves. I endorse all the comments about Lorraine's... More

I am very pleased that you all enjoyed your stay at Barms Farm and thank you for writing such a lovely review. It does work well when a group of three couples meet up and then have full use of basically one side of the house including private entrance and large lounge. As I mentioned prior to your departure, we... More

Thanks Sonia and Ady and seriously, the pleasure was ours :) Very reassuring that the new Hydrocotton White Company bath sheets are as good if not better than the previous White Co. ones that I have always bought in the past. Pity the weather wasn't better but considering the previous weekend when many of the main roads were at a... More

Thank you so much for writing such a glowing review for Barms Farm. It is very pleasing to have guests return time after time to stay with us as Barms Farm. We tend to think of these lovely people (yourselves included) as friends rather than guests :) Hope you enjoyed the eggs from our recently purchased young hens. We had... More

We recently stayed at Barms Farm in March of this year for two nights. Lorraine was so welcoming and knowledgable of the area. The room was sympathetically decorated to the age of the building but also light and spacious too. I read the previous negative comments before staying here and to be honest i think these people just like to... More
