It took us a while to find the place, because the signs are quite small, but what a spot when you do find it, quite an imposing hotel in a beautiful valley, the owner was very friendly contrary to some other reviews I had read before, we never met the elusive dog or heard him, we did meet the very... Cressbrook Hall is a private family home, not a hotel it is described as such in our brochure and on the web site. Some items of furniture are family heirlooms or antiques and, therefore, show signs of use and age. The property is presently being completely re-wired so there are obvious signs where light switches and sockets have been replaced.... More

Me and my boyfriend just got back from a weekend break staying in the Rose Garden room. Cressbrook is a gorgeous part of the Peaks which we hadn't previously explored much and so was a real find! It was quite remote and so if you are closely attached to your phone this probably isn't the place for you. The nearest... More

My daughter, Tiffany, was married yesterday at Cressbrook Hall, and it was a wonderful day. If you want your wedding to run smoothly, I would highly recommend Cressbrook Hall as a venue. Bobby, the lady who owns Cressbrook, and her team are so professional, polite and friendly. They all worked very hard all day, and the whole day and evening... More

As part of a four week holiday travelling around the UK, we were very fortunate to stay two nights at "Top Spot" which is one of the gardener's cottages on the stunning Cressbrook Hall Estate. We could not fault Bobbi and the accommodation she provided. The cottage is clean with all that is required for self catering. We chose to... More

My family and I absolutely loved our stay here at the Cressbrook Hall Bed and Breakfast. Bobby was very accommodating, and the house was absolutely gorgeous. The surrounding grounds and gardens as breathtaking as the house itself. Breakfasts were superb, traditional English with extensive additional options. I would highly recommend this experience to enjoy the natural beauty of this district.

Beautiful building and gardens in spectacular surroundings. Everything is kept just so. Bobby, the owner, went out of her way to make us feel at home. We had a very early start, but she made sure that we got breakfast.

Our party of four have just returned from a wonderful trip to Derbyshire's Peak District, staying at the the stunning Cressbrook Hall, north east of Bakewell. The Hall, once the residence of a wealthy philanthropic mill owner, sits in delightful gardens and overlooks the dramatic valley of Water-cum-Jolly Dale. The views from our bedrooms and the public rooms were magnificent.... More

We chose Cressbrook Hall for our one night stay in Derbyshire as other similar hotels nearby offered a minimum of 2 nights. It did not disappoint, far from it. The setting is beautiful and the hall itself is splendid. Our rooms in the main house were clean, large and very comfortable with magnificent views of the gardens and surrounding landscape.... More

I have stayed here twice - once in the main house which was lovely and once in a cottage, also lovely. On occasions the experience has been excellent. The lady who owns the Hall is remarkable being a mother of 7, grandmother if 12 and also running her business, maintaining the Hall and gardens to a fine standard. She is... More

Amazing place. Staff are fantastic. Would recommend to anyone. Went for my daughters wedding on 21st May, brilliant day, great views. Garden has awesome views and setting. Plus option to wed outside if weather is good. We missed it by half hour so service was inside. Staff catered for every detail without question. Will certainly go back, even for sunday... More
