We stayed at the Victorian Guest House for two nights in March as a stop-over while visiting the Opera House for two shows. We had chosen the guest house on a previous visit to the spa town purely on the appearance and we must say it didn't disappoint! Barbara and Alan were extremely welcoming and the rooms and linens first... More

This is one for the best B&B that we have stayed in we were welcomed by Barbara and Alan and asked if we would like tea with biscuits and they stayed and chatted to us. The room was lovely and overlooked the Pavilion Gardens, the room and en-suite were lovely and warm and the water was always hot. We were... More

By far the best option in Buxton! Super friendly family run guesthouse. The breakfast has no limitations, very very clean and quiet. The center is just a 5 minute walk and the rooms are all ensuite and overlook the park. You can even see the opera house from the window ! 10 points Barbara and Alan! See you again soon!

Once again we booked to stay at this wonderful B&B when visiting Buxton Opera House to see Dawn French. We were welcomed by Barbara who invited us into the cosy dining room where we sat in the window and were served tea and biscuits. I had asked for the same room as we had previously, which we loved. Its black... More

It was great to come back and stay in this B&B again as it is so full of character. The attention to detail in the rooms is excellent, the breakfast is truly delicious and Alan and Barbara are perfect hosts.

We stayed 4 nights in this delightful B&B run by Alan and Barbara. We had the four poster bedroom and were spoilt with the excellent breakfasts each morning. It's great location allows you to enjoy this delightful town as it is so close to the Pavilion, Opera house and dining options. It's a great base for walking and taking in... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Victorian three times over the past four years. Each time we have found it to be nothing short of excellent. The mattresses are superb and Alan and Barbara are wonderful hosts. We stayed this time in the new apartment which is incredibly spacious, modern and well appointed. The highlight, as always, was... We stayed for the weekend at Buxton Victorian Guest House, my third or fourth visit and my partner's first. He couldn't believe it, neither could I on my first visit, to be treated so well in such beautiful surroundings. A wonderfully kept guest house with such a great vista of Buxton's Pavilion Gardens. The attention to detail in decor and... More

We had a warm welcome from Barbara and some much needed coffee on our arrival. We stayed in the Chatsworth room which was very spacious had a large king-sized four-poster bed, which was very comfortable, and a lovely view over the Pavilion Gardens. Lots of nice touches in the room, including a small decanter of sherry and good quality toiletries... More

We have recently returned from our second stay, and would not contemplate staying any where else in Buxton! The owners take great pride in having everywhere immaculate, and provide top class accommodation, a lovely breakfast, and go out of their way to be helpful and informative about the area.
