On drive up to hotel there is a promise that yes the web site was correct it was a stunning building set in the most tranquil of setting. Truly a beautiful setting. Horses racing in the fields. Lawns rolling out before you. But stay in the car! Once inside Cilla gives you a lovely welcome and after this it went... More

We were made very welcome at the Music Night- held every Wednesday. Wide range of music when we went, folk, blues, old favourites, and even some Bach played beautifully on the cello. Definitely recommend it if you like to hear some good acoustic music in informal friendly atmosphere. Turn up, play or sing or listen and stamp your feet. Great... More

I stayed at the Baskerville for two nights on business in June 2015. First impressions as you approach the hotel along the drive are 'Wow'. You are not disappointed when you enter reception which has the most imposing staircase to the bedrooms. We were allocated room 3 which was huge. The bedroom has a double bed and two single beds... We are lovers of the quirky, unusual, old fashioned charm and didn't want a sterile 'Travelodge' type hotel, so we were really looking forward to staying here. There were no 'Executive' rooms available so we had a standard double, £100 per night so certainly not cheap. We were so disappointed. Firstly the good things, - the owner was extremely helpful... We stayed at Baskerville Hall Hotel in early June 2015 and loved it. We booked executive rooms and they were unbelievably large. Yes, the decor is eclectic and slightly worn but everything is clean and the beds are king sized and very comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous, the house is huge and it's fun exploring all the different rooms and... More

Do not enter if you want to feel welcomed, cold lady behind the reception does not give eye contact. When asking about the hotel , told sharp quick sentences suggesting unless you drove up in a rolls your just not welcome , it looked okay , tired, but the reception was awful .

I stayed for a night over a music festival in the hotel. Rooms have a dated charm and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good well cooked with limited choice of items. Great views surrounding the hotel grounds extensive

I so wanted to give this place a glowing review. I was staying here for one of the many events held at the hall and having looked at the pictures on the website I called to book. I was told the price for a standard room £50pppn inc breakfast and the price for an executive room was just £10 pppn... More

We camp here every year for the literary festival. We love the location, character, and the fact that you're a little out of town, making for a quieter stay and a nice bike ride to the town or festival site. Despite a few (well-managed) changes this year, like the wrist bands and carpark next door, it remains our favourite -... More

A lovely old manor house with the exact same shabby chic furniture and mixed mattresses etc. we stayed in room 9 which is a large room with a double and single bed. The single is very comfy,...
