My girlfriend and I booked a 2 night stay at a nearby campsite, only to arrive and find the place an absolute shambles (but that's another story!).....needless to say, we left quick smart and drove into Hay-On-Wye for a drink, some food and to figure out how we were going to save our weekend trip away from being a total... The perfect B&B for a weekend break to Hay-on-Wye. The staff are so friendly, instantly making you feel completely at home and will do anything to help. The breakfast is wonderful, choose from a selection of thoughtful mains following a generous buffet of cereal and fruit. A lovely fresh smoked salmon option and the full English very satisfying- the perfect... More

The room was lovely and quiet on a great location in the centre of the town. They recommended a gorgeous pub for our evening meal at the the blue boar. We had a fantastic breakfast and they were so good and had soya spread and almond milk as I'm vegan:) really really pleased with our stay and very thankful they... More

Lovely trip over half term with husband & 3 kids. The fact we had children (and 3 of them!) was welcomed and nothing was a problem. The rates were reasonable, breakfasts were excellent and the fabulously warm pool and sauna were a real treat after a walk up hay bluff. The Seven stars is a real pleasure for real people.... More

Very friendly welcome from the owner on arrival. We were shown to our room above the pool. Lovely views across the Hay countryside. Swimming pool and sauna are a real bonus and great for a pre meal dip. short stroll to lovely pub with log fire. This has to be the best way to spend a night in November. Our... More

We booked at the Seven Stars for our Anniversary. We had a fantastic weekend. Di made us feel very welcome, we stayed in the 'pool room' which was brilliant as we were able to use the pool an hour before everybody else!!!! Breakfast was unbelievable, nice variety, a great start to the day. We even managed to take a peek... More

my wife and I often go to hay and we have stayed in several B&B's in the village. We keep returning to the seven stars because of the friedly environment, the pool & sauna (unique in Hay), and the morning fry-ups! Excellent. It is near everything in Hay and i love the fact that it is a centuries old building.... More

Stayed in Hay a few times in different places but will definately be returning to this place. We got the room which had an on suite swimming pool. Yes, you heard that right. There were double glazed doors from the bedroom straight into the pool. Although the pool is shared with other residents, we were offerd an early morning private... More

We booked here for the pool, which was fantastic, and because of the location close to the centre of the town. The room was small, to the front of the building and overlooking a quite busy road, which didn't do much for our sleep. Breakfast was good, but needs to do porridge.

Just back from a short break in Hay on Wye and again it was a great escape. Stayed at the Seven Stars again and were greeted by Di, the owner, and given a run down of the changes in the local pub/restaurant scene. The room was very good, clean and warm with en suite bathroom, and made a perfect base... More
