Was just about to write a detailed review of our wonderful time at Outdoors@hay when I read the one below which perfectly describes our experience of this great campsite (so make sure you read that one too). So... in short we love the site, the facilities, the cleanliness, the location (a reasonable walk away from the Festival site), the atmosphere... More

Having just returned home after our sixth stay with Mick, Sharon and their great team at Outdoors at Hay we're already looking forward to next year, The fact that we keep returning says it all really but if you're looking for a decent campsite in the Hay on Wye area then you'd have a job beating this place. Outdoors at... More

Thank you for this kind review, I was able to show it to the very tired crew who were packing up after a particularly tough year. We are always thanking them for their efforts, but getting this was far better than anything we could say. It was gratefully received and they went home full of pride and hopefully wanting to... This was a surprise break booked by my other half (therefore my review is not commenting on the cost - I don't know!) We used one of the pre-erected tents that included a futon bed, side tables and a candle chandelier. The site was really quiet although it was the summer holidays (mid week) which was perfect for us. Everything... More

Just stayed for 2 nights at this campsite. Owners Mick and Sharon were very friendly and helpful. Even helped us out when the tent malfunctioned. We went on their canoeing trip on the Wye which was great. Kids did archery and zip wire which they loved. Clean toliets and showers. The showers were nice and hot. All in all a... More

We stayed here during the festival week based on the review here. The site and the welcoming manner of Mick, Sharon and their team more than lived upto the expectations. What a fantastic site! Despite some miserable weather this was a clean, friendly set up and we will most definately be back again.

What a find! Mick & Sharon have set up a fantastic activity and camping centre here, 15 minutes flat walk from Hay, perfectly positioned to explore the area. We stayed in one of the Bell tents which looked brand new and came well supplied for all our needs. It was so nice to be able to have a fire pit... More

...despite some pretty rough weather. We stayed in a tipi again, a new, bigger one. It stood up very well to some pretty strong winds. The site is excellent, quiet, and very friendly. We were there once again during the Hay Literary Festival, and for the duration of the festival the site owners Mick and Sharon had significantly upgraded the... More
