Just spent 2 nights in ballykisteen hotel and golf resort, while it was good value ( we had a special offer) there are a few little things that would make a difference.Fruit for breakfast, was mainly tinned, plates for a hot breakfast were cold, poor choice of breads,no obvious butter, only low fat spread,no pots of tea,(had to return to tea canister every time... Stayed here with my partner and our two kids for the bank holiday weekend as we got a good deal, The lodges are spacious and clean and ideal for families so it was perfect, we ate on the Saturday night in the restaurant and the food was very tasty and the staff were so attentive, and there was music in... We stayed at the Ballykisteen Hotel for two days and cannot wait to get back. The room was spotless, well designed, spacious and large. We ate in the bar on the first night and the food was very good, breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and large helpings. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive. The facilities were second... More

This hotel offers potential that is not quite matched with attention to details. Group stayed in hotel and in houses beside golf course. The houses were better than expected, we got a good one with a view and neat clean and tidy even if the door lock was a bit of a puzzle. The hotel itself is nice and very... More

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a family reunion. Bar food on 1st night was very good. Dinner on 2nd night was excellent. All 22 people were very impressed by the food and choice provided in the menu as well as the price. (In fact one family made a booking on the night for their next get together). All of... More

Had a relaxing, quiet overnight break in this hotel. Check-in was prompt, and staff nice and pleasant. The hotel is in a very nice setting, and there is plenty of parking. Loved the decor in the room, and there was a plentiful supply of everything, from tea/coffee tray to toiletries in the bathroom. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and... More

We went to the hotel last sunday for a family event. We arrived shortly before 2 o clock and went to the dining area.I have to say that the service was the worst i have ever had anywhere. We were a group of only 16 adults and 6 children and it took forever to be served. After 2 and a half hours (... I would like to complement the hotel on our recent family gathering Sept 8th.Trying to book 28 people into an event can be a frustrating affair, with people cancelling last minute etc.very understanding staff (Maura in reservations was great) helped a lot.All facilities in the hotel were great. We needed an inpromptu room last minute to hold a talk and the manager... This hotel is set well back on a main road just outside Tipperary town. It comes complete with an 18 hole golf course and Tipperary race course is just on the other side of the road. We were there for a family wedding and stayed for three nights at one of the 45 'lodges' in the hotel grounds. These are... More

Lovely hotel, great staff and service, fantastic location. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Have stayed before and been to numerous events at ballykisteen and will stay again. The golf course is top class, so my husband says anyway!
