Stayed for 2 nights recently. The staff where very nice and welcoming. Even Lily the dog!! We stayed in the cottage suite which was very comfortable. The hotel is spotlessly clean. We had drinks in the bar on our first night and we were made very welcome. We can't comment on the restaurant meals as the chef was off sick... More

Only down fall is there is a dog there if you are allergic. Didn't bother me though. Rooms are very individual. Old charm. Service was great. Food presentation was awesome. Close to Chepstow Castle in a quaint village. Road are narrow compared to US roads so if you are driving there be prepared. There is a museum nearby that we... More

Just a night in Chepstow but enjoyable none the less. The hotel was great; traditional and clean. Located opposite the castle, so impressive views and car parking available close by. Really helpful owners who let us check in early. Enjoyable stay!

Hotel is a bit dated but is still value for money . The evening meal was lovely and the staff are really friendly . The breakfast is good and is cooked to the individuals preference . I would visit it again .

just had a nice meal and drinks at the pub, nice atmosphere not too loud. The hosts were welcoming and attentive. We had food from the Al la carte menu which whilst small has enough choice. The fillet steak was cooked perfect and was very tasty. Would recommend going there.

Called in here just by chance for lunch - parking is just across the road near the Tourist Office - £1 for 2 hours so no complaints there ! A very warm welcome from the young gentleman behind the bar and he offered us comfortable seats- squishy leather settees near a very interesting old fireplace. He brought drinks and menus... More

Traditional and welcoming, gorgeous food and excellent service. Real fire and lovely setting right next to the Castle. Gluten free options are catered for and Sunday lunch is superb too. All the staff make you feel special. Customer service at its best.

A very warm welcome from mine host. Quickly served tasty snacks. I would certainly come back, and think about staying there if I need another overnight stop in S Wales. Better than anesthetized hotel chains.

Found this after visiting Chepstow Castle. Sunday lunch was one of the best I have ever had . Service was excellent and staff friendly. Would thoroughly recommend it but you would be wise to book. We were very lucky to get a table!
