We stayed here last night and had great service and a perfect room for a family of 5 with a bunk bed, single and double bed. Fairly basic bathroom but loads of hot water and good water pressure and apparently the rooms are all just about to be modernized. We had very personal service from the owner in the morning... More

Hard working and cheerful and helpful team and reasonable price. Rooms are about to receive an upgrade but are at present functional. Breakfast good. Parking no hassle. Convenient to centre. Saturday night bit of disco in pub but noise not excessive and stopped at 12. Anyway we were down there dancing ....

We stayed here last weekend for two nights;our choice was based on favourable tripadvisor reviews. Did we book the wrong place? Surely someone would have mentioned the fact that the water in the rooms (or in Room 3 at least) is not drinkable! There is a large, permanent notice to this effect by the cold water tap.The last time I stayed in... I am honestly not one to write reviews. My partner and i stayed here last weekend and were really disappointed with the overall stay. Firstly i felt the shared bathroom was dirty and the bath mats in there looked very tired and grubby, the shower was awful, not very powerful at all. The bedroom didn't seem looked after very well,... More

I've stayed he a couple of times and each time I feel it gets better and better. Yes the rooms are dated but then I couldn't complain about the price at only £45 for a nights stay how could I? Met up with a couple of friends fir a beer or two plus some food and I must say it... More

rooms are clean with a flat screen TV ..... An en suite shower and toilet that is very small but adequate .the rooms are quite dated but what you would expect for the age of the building . The location is good right in the centre of Chepstow. Even though our room was in e front of the building it... More

our first greeting was "how would you like to pay?". Our room reminded me of Rigsby's place in Rising Damp. The shower nearly collapsed after Nick thoughtlessly touched the screen - I only have his word for this. To top everything off, at breakfast there was no cereal, no butter and 'the chef's having trouble with the poacher' - we... More

I am writing this message as I am quite shocked by the review you have just posted. I am the lady that served you and your review does not reflect the impression you or your fellow cyclist friends gave at the time of your visit. Myself and my partner Dave are the owners at The Coach & Horses. We always... More

Had an amazing stay at the coach and horses in Chepstow. Room was clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for Dave the host who made us feel very very welcome. Breakfast was superb and set you up for the day. Excellent location as pub is situated centrally and places of interest, such as the castle, are just a stroll... More

In short, no. £60 quid for a stay at this place? For the service, l would have paid double. Quaint pub, nice room, but the owner, (Spandau, lookie-likey) and his supporting staff were Gold. Spent last night here, having been to Chepstow races. Greeted by warm staff and locals. Clean room, fresh bedding and towels. Bit of a wait for... More
