I had a very pleasant stay at the First Hurdles B&B: - personal and very friendly host Jane - good English breakfast - simple, comfortable and clean rooms - worthy service for the price Just like a B&B should be!

Stayed with friends for a golf weekend. Great location to golf courses, very central in Chepstow, close to station, pubs and great restaurants. Rooms comfortable, breakfast good and overall stay good. Jane is very friendly and a great landlady. would recommend

We were staying in Chepstow to attend a friend's wedding, so we requested an early check-in. Having been told that we could do so "before 12" we duly arrived at 11:30 (we had a lunch reservation at 12 to make sure we weren't late for the ceremony at 2). What we found was a hotel like the Mary Celeste, and... More

We were reluctant to visit this b&b due to the reviews on here but gave it the benefit of the doubt. The photo below is from Room 3- cramped, shabby and definitely not worth the £70 price tag. No shampoo or conditioner provided - landlady then attempted to supply a shampoo sachet from a magazine. All furniture out of the... More

Very well situated with lots of eating and drinking choices nearby. My room was large and the bed was comfortable. i didn't try the shower, not least because there was no shampoo supplied, which always strikes me as a bit cheapskate TV worked fine but was on swivel mount that didn't really swivel. That would have been a very minor... More

We got off to a bad start with this accommodation. We were having our luggage transported by taxi as a group of us were walking Offa's Dyke. Only 3 were staying at The First Hurdle and the other 3 were catching the train home from Chepstow that evening. As a matter of courtesy that morning I phoned to warn the... More
