Lovely location but hotel is looking tired in places. We stayed in a lake side room which was beautiful, though the bathroom a little tired, was perfectly functional. Shower & bath No fridge in room but staff delivered fresh milk within minutes of requesting it but we also had to have an ice bucket to keep it cool ready for... More

I stayed at this Marriott for three nights in January 2015. It is easier to check in as a repeat guest than it is the first time, I'm sure. I drove through the arch, following the signs. When you get to the reception entrance, you have to drive back out of the courtyard to park. And then I had to... More

We came for a night away and had a lovely time, the grounds and main hotel are just beautiful. The bar was lovely and you could curl up on a sofa in front of the fire with a drink. The gym and pool/spa are were modern but there were quite a lot of children (may be the time we went... More

I stayed here back in the summer as attending a wedding reception. The grounds of the hotel as driving through the golf greens make a great first impression as kept neat and tidy. I had a fairly quick check-in as the person was a new starter and learning the job (everyone starts somewhere). I was told were breakfast and a... More

We have stayed at this hotel twice before and were not disappointed. We arrived on 30th December which was our wedding anniversary which I had mentioned when I booked. We were upgraded to a suite with a separate living/dining room which was lovely, the staff also left a card in the room and some chocolates which I thought was a... More

We've travelled a lot and without a doubt this is one of our favourite hotels. On arrival we had a nice greeting and as my wife was pregnant they gave us a room close to reception/dining areas as requested upon booking. They informed us we would be in daisy cottage in the cortyard. What a great room this was although... More

Had a Saturday and Sunday night golf deal here with dinner bed and breakfast with three mates and it was just spot on, right down to the fact that I had forgotten my phone charger and the receptionist lent me hers! Marriott - well done five stars Food, service ,location = excellent

Stayed with another couple over a miserable cold and wet January weekend. Our second stay here and room in courtyard much better than standard bedrooms. Zest restaurant is just okay. Good varied menu, but had to send back meals as three had obviously been kept waiting for the fourth and had gone cold. Wine also over-priced. However Morgans restaurant is... More

I stopped here for one night on business and was delighted to receive an upgrade to Rose Cottage from the very pleasant lady behind reception. The suite (Rose Cottage) was huge with a downstairs living room, dining area, toilet, wardrobe and entrance hall. Upstairs had a full bathroom and bedroom with seating area. It really was a fantastic self contained stone... More

What can we say amazing hotel, very quiet room we were on the 3rd floor, the staff we met were all very helpful and polite. We only ate breakfast in the hotel and I must say it was lovely plenty of choice eggs cooked to order and again very helpful staff. Lovely pool area amazing steam room, the only downside... More
