We stayed over the Bank Holiday weekend which meant the hotel was very busy with a wedding on both Saturday and Sunday, but that wasn't a problem. The weather was fantastic which probably adds a few points to this review. Good points - excellent location, very peaceful, nice well kept grounds (by grounds I mean the golf course, there are... more

Hotel lovely, nice olde world atmosphere. Rooms comfortable and nice. Staff on check in polite and helpful. however, restaurant was APPALLING. Food stupidly overpriced - £18 for salmon steak. sides extra!!! sides came covered in salt and had to been returned. food good quality (aside from the salt) but nowhere near justifying this amount of money. restaurant modern and absolutley... more

We, as four golfers got a great deal of £120 each for both courses, dinner, bed and breakfast. The main hotel is an old building and very good to look at and walk through. Booking in very good the staff overall were tremendous. The rooms standard really but clean and most importantly with Sky Sports. Old Course - Get used... more

Stayed here for one night as part of a family tour of Wales in late December; rate was 90 GBP per room/night including breakfast. It’s located about 15 minutes across the Welsh border in the countryside and on the same property as a golf resort. Part of the hotel is in the original stone building, but our rooms were in... more

Through 2008 I stayed in this hotel for about 50 nights for business, and really fell in love with it. The hotel is set within 2 golf courses, and is an old manor house with various extensions for bedrooms, health clubs, golf shops etc. Accommodation is spit into 3 areas - the bedroom wing has their standard rooms. The Lakeside... more

Hotel is very beautiful with lovely quiet grounds. Parts of the hotel were built in the 14th Century and there are lots of oak panels, real wood fires, beams etc. The staff are very friendly and have been very highly trained in customer service - we got the feeling that nothing would be too much trouble. The room was clean... more

It's a bit off of the beaten path, but if you're into golf and a period experience, it's worth it. The hotel occupies the grounds of an old castle and next to a country club with a beautiful course. Parts of the grounds are period--including many of the rooms and the dining room. Other parts are current--including most notably a... more

My partner and I had booked three nights at St Pierre to celebrate his birthday and escape the January blues, we are pleased we did. The Hotel The main hotel is a 14th Century manor house adjacent to St Pierre Church which was quaint and peaceful. There is an annexe of small guest cottages, hotel rooms extended onto the main... more

We recently stayed here for a friends wedding and were very impressed. I had been expecting a modern, glass like, sterile place and this couldn't be more different! The old building makes it charming and welcoming. The rooms are good, with all the usual elements, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the fitness suite, etc was very impressive and... more

We had a lakeside room as the hotel informed us it was the only room type that could accomodate a 3rd bed. It was fantastic ! A seperate living area with double sofa bed ( & single sofabed) & a fantastic large bed in bedroom. Room well presented & clean with good additions:toiletries, bathrobes, slippers. The only negative with room was that... more
