We spent five days at this hotel and enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The hotel is close to the old castle which is certainly worth a visit, it is close to a bus station from where buses go to Tintern Abbey, Bristol and many other places. The staff were able... More

Stayed one night here. The room was adequate. Clean. We ate in the restaurant. The food we felt was of a very good standard and fairly priced. The staff were very helpfull. Breakfast was cooked to order. Very nice also. We had one small gripe!!! When we checked out the young lady who was very pleasant told us the bill... More

Arrived late in the afternoon and was recomended this place by the Visitors Information Centre becase it had off street parking. Not sure if they get commissions for sending people here or not. We arrived at the back of the hotel and was able to find an off street park for our hire car which was a bonus. Unfortunately it went... More

Considering the amount it cost for a night, i expected something better! For starters the room looked liked it was last decorated in the 80s. Also, the light in the bathroom (room 14) was not compliant with current regulations - a normal light rose was directly over the bath with the metal and glass droplet light shade touching the shower... Dear Guest, I am disappointed to hear you encountered issues whilst staying with us. We do encourage our guests to report any issues they may have to a member of our team so they can be rectified. None of the issues here were raised so subsequently couldn't be rectified whilst the guest was staying with us. Kind Regards Antony More

Spent a night at the Beaufort Hotel and had an evening meal in their restuarant. The food was well cooked and geneorous. Including a breakfast in the morning our whole bill came out at under £100. We are going back soon. Chestow is a lovely place and the tour of the Castle which was free on the Sunday was inspiring.... More

I stayed here on 1st and 2nd Sept and was happy to get a room as it seemed NATO had block booked everywhere. This joy was short lived when I saw the room, the decor was outdated, no curtain on the bathroom window so people across the way could see when someone was using it. A shortage of power points... The comments that this guest makes could have easily been rectified if they had spoken to a member of our dedicated team. I have spoken to the member of staff on duty that evening and they told me that this guest mentioned nothing of the issues they faced in their room, only that their TV was short of signal, which... We both had smoked haddock with mash and peas from the extensive lunch menu. One of the best poached haddocks we've ever had, and believe me we've had a few! There is very pleasant seating in the bar and in two adjacent dining areas. We didn't have time to explore the castle, so we'll be back soon!

Nearly qualifies as "shabby chic" but not quite; the decor needs a facelift together with other facets of the hotel.Service is usually very good and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Food is very good and very reasonably priced. It's good that it doesn't belong to a chain - family run establishments are few and far between. Client base... More

We stayed at the Beaufort for one night to allow us to take a bus from Chepstow to Tintern Abbey. The hotel was centrally located, within walking distance of the train station and the bus stop that will take you to Tintern. The staff were kind enough to let us put our bags in our room before check in time... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments and I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us.
