The hotel is set in a lovely setting very close to the river. The original building is charming with a sympathetic extension. Staff generally attentive and welcoming. I Really Liked This Hotel. I Honestly Can't See What All The Fuss Was About, Unless Everything Changed In 2 Hours. I Want To Find Out WHY People Were Complaining! Room Was Excellent. Stayed for two nights in early August. The room(disabled access) we were given is definately not up to 4* standard. Carpet was wet, held together with duct tape and smelt badly, shower head(no bath) was the incorrect type therefore not directional, the sink level although good for wheelchair access, was far too low, barely above my knees! more
