Generally speaking our stay over Easter in the duchess suite was really enjoyable, as I personally have come to expect, having stayed there many many times sometimes 3 times a year over 30years from been a child. The staff on the whole were exceptional, the reception staff were all very welcoming, the reservaion team were helpful in my queries regarding... More

We visited the hotel for lunch and a pool visit. The swimming pool facilities were good but the lunch and service was very disappointing. We were given the wrong starters and the carvers was poor quality. The staff were very disorganised and service was poor. To round it of we got charged £13 for 4 small bottles of soft drink.... Whilst in a fabulous setting the hilton at dunkeld has definitely seen better days. Our room furniture was very well worn, peeling and badly marked. Our meal at night whilst beautifully served, was disappointing, the fish starter choice from four was salmon, the fish main course from four was salmon, the vegetarian starter choice was a vegetable tart, the main... Dear Female9591 I am genuinely sorry that you have not enjoyed your stay with us and that your room was not to your liking. I accept fully your comments regarding the menu in having salmon on the same menu as a starter and tart as a vegetarian starter and main course. This is not the usual standard and we are... More

This is one of the nicest driveways to an hotel - you drive through Dunkeld's narrow main street (actually the only street!) and miss the entrance to the hotel, turn round and come back to it and then you have a lovely wee drive past a herd of deer to this lovely old house on the banks of the Tay.... The most impressive thing about this hotel is its setting. It stands beside the River Tay, with lovely grounds, and is some distance from the town of Dunkeld. It shares the grounds with timeshare buildings. Inside, the feel is a mixture of faded glory and successive attempts to modernise the facilities. The Reception area is unimpressive, but the bar and... More

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at Dunkeld - a beautiful setting for the hotel, spacious accomodation, excellent meals and friendly and courteous staff. However, we were rather dismayed, on closer inspection, to see dog hairs on the carpet despite the carpets appearing to have been vacuum cleaned. It will make us think twice about going there again.

The hotel ir perfect if you are wanting a quiet break ,but there are no towns or villages within walking distance to go to for meal/drinks. The location is stunning . A glass of wine and a beer was on expensive side at £13. It was our honeymoon so it was a romantic setting . But would only stay a... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in this hotel. It is a spectacular drive up the 1 mile driveway. The woodlands are beautiful. The hotel is not a disappointment. I was impressed by the interior which reminds you of a grand stately home. The rooms are very nicely decorated and our bathroom was wonderful. The food is... More
