My husband and I received word this week that our booking two weeks from now has been cancelled; the Kinnaird Estate is ceasing operations on September 1st, 2009. It seems to have been a sudden decision of the owner. We have received a refund and both Relais & Chateau and Kinnaird offered rebooking assistance. A sad day. more

This should be a glowing review, the hotel is lovely and the food delicious. However despite several emails and a telephone call, they did not take coeliac disease seriously; on departure they seemed to consider it something of a "fad". The food was delicious and we booked Kinnaird on the basis that we have never before gone wrong with good... more

What a lovely country house! We stayed for 2 nights end of April, the grounds are lovely with lovely walks, although it was raining we were able to go for a long walk, then relex in front of the log fire with coffee in the afternoon. The food was very good and the breakfast was cooked to order and plenty... more

My colleagues offered me vouchers from Relais et Chateaux when I was made chevalier de l'ordre du mérite. With my partner, we decided to visit Scotland and if possible to find a nice and warm place to end our stay there. We booked easily at Kinnaird and we did not regret it. It's a wonderful place, more a home than... more

We were only able to stay at Kinnard one night during our Scotish Vacation. After our stay , we all wished it could have been longer. The rooms are very spacious and lovely - if just a little worn. We had an extra bed for our 12 year old in the room and there was plenty of space. The portable... more

We spent two nights/three days in Kinnaird and absolutely loved it. The service is one of the best we have experienced, the food is delicious, the setting is absolutely beautiful and because of the lay out you barely seethe other guests and there is much privacy. The overall feeling was that we had been invited someone's home and that we... more

I booked a short break 3 night stay incorporating some salmon fishing as a gift for my partner's 50th. Even though it poured with rain and the salmon were leaping out of the water around us - none ending up on our lines - we had a simply wonderful time. The hotel, staff, food - everything about it was brilliant.... more

We were influenced by the reviews we had read about Kinnaird House hotel and booked 2 nights as a short break. We would completely agree with the praise heaped upon this lovely retreat. Although beautiful and picturesque, it was the excellent customer service and outstanding food which really made this break for us. The General Manager has an awesome knowledge... more

We spent Christmas at this beautiful hotel and estate - early booking is essential as we made our reservation very early in the year and they only had one room available. Now I understand why. If you want a peaceful retreat from the rush and fuss of Christmas, Kinnaird is worth considering - seriously! We were cosseted and well cared... more

Stayed here recently for a short get away. This place is amazing – they have tried to create a home away from home and it really works. You pretty much have the run of the house and nothing is too much trouble. There are numerous rooms for you to relax in on the ground floor all with blazing fires and... more
