Stayed here for 3 nights during the summer. This is a superb B&B about 10 mins from Dunkeld, the hosts make you very welcome and booked us into a restaurant every night which saved us trying to find somewhere to eat. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. It is a bit remote and very quiet so as... More

One of the best B&B`s in Scotland, we visited so far. The comfort, the service, the breakfast, the kindness of our hosts, the nature around - all was perfect! A very good place to make day trips in Perthshire. Highly recommended!

Surely the best B & B in Scotland, extremely well priced and good value. I loved the scenic location (near Loch of the Lowes and historic Dunkeld, not far from Pitlochry), the warm friendly generous welcome (the couple who run it can't do enough for you), the exquisitely tasteful decor (every detail attended to, and so clean!), the space, the... We travel widely in the UK and overseas, and found this B&B to be one of the most welcoming and comfortable we have ever visited. The cottage is located out in the countryside, about ten minutes from Dunkeld. There were deer, pheasant and red squirrels visible from our bedroom each morning. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate: spacious, impeccably clean... More

We came up to attend a photographic event in Perthshire and to capture some of the stunning landscape. This was our first stay at Smithy Cottage. First impressions within the first few minutes tell you so much. Claire and Sandy welcomed us, what a delightful and lovely couple. Set in a perfect location near Loch O'The Lowes outside Dunkeld it... More

This B&B really does tick all the boxes. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The beds are large and comfy, with nice touches such as real coffee in the drinks tray. There is also a lounge for guest use with a wide selection of DVD's. In addition the owners leave out whisky and sherry for the guests, this... More

This was our first B & B stay in Scotland, and what a wonderful introduction! Down a quiet country road, a lovely house, quiet and comfy room, every luxury you would imagine, and an extravagantly wonderful breakfast. Claire and Sandy are great hosts. Highly recommended if you enjoy a quiet, rural stay....but still close enough to drive easily to a... More

This place is exactly as it says on its tin (website). The rooms, location and the hosts are exceptional. They clearly love their home and their lifestyle which is reflected in the excellent standard of rooms and hospitality shown to all their guests. Stayed here with my 86 yr old mum (on her way to Balmoral Garden party) and wanted somewhere special for a night on the journey north. We had the ground floor front twin room and we both loved the place. We knew from the moment we drove into the lush and gravelled courtyard garden to a warm and courteous welcome... More
