A VERY basic hotel, in desperate need of a Major Cash Injection, staff are all friendly and work like robots, can't fault them at all, however the hotel itself let's them down, It is desperately screaming out for a cash injection, The decor in Public area's is aged and tired, large visible roughly repaired cracks in the Ceilings and non-boxed=in... Large hotel catering for bus parties mainly. Very hard working and efficient staff, mostly foreign. The meal service for 3 bus parties was carried out with military precision. Hotel should note that the arrangement for tea and coffee in the dining room in the morning was not good. An accident could easily happen when filling up cups as waiters are... More

Four day trip with Urquart tour company. Bed breakfast and evening meal. Very good value with two inclusive trips to Oban and Inveraray. Hotel good. Bedroom clean and adequately furnished with tea / coffee making facilities. Meals good. Staff pleasant and very hard working. Just returned from a four day stay. Had a lovely clean room overlooking the Loch and the town of Dunoon. The food is very basic but for the price we paid it was acceptable. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were made very welcome. The drinks were very reasonable (a pint of Tennants... More

Can understand why this hotel is used by coach trip firms etc. it caters for this in the main and as a no frills basic hotel it just about germs away with it. The decor is about 30 years old in style and presentation. Rooms are same with old furniture, and beds and a tired look. However they were clean... More

My wife and I stayed March 3 to 7 on a David Urquart coach trip. Sadly only 24 on the coach and only 24 guests in the hotel so we had space! Taking advice we were glad to have booked a Clyde view room (14) which had two large single beds really making a king size bed! Room was good... More

My husband and I along with two friends stayed at the Glenmorag for two nights on a dinner bed and breakfast basis. What can I say it was amazing value for what we paid, staff could not do enough for you especially Atilla and his twin brother Peter. Food was basic but fine and the rooms were adequate. On the... Went in coach party. Meals varied from very good to average. Décor was in need of update, in a lot of hotel. Dining staff efficient & usually cheerful. Room clean. Wee bit small. Entertainment was good on 2 of the 3 nights. Other night a bit hit & miss. a lot of people needed to use lift and it was... More

We went with David Urquhart Tours for the weekend and had read a lot of reviews saying how run down this hotel was. It is needing refurbished but the amazing staff and the good food makes up for all that. The hotel is in a fabulous location with views looking across the Clyde to Wemyss Bay on the other side.... Coach trip with family, five of us all pensioners, two couples and one single lady. This hotel is cheap but very cheerful. The management and staff always make you welcome. The food is served to you, it is very basic but acceptable. Nightly entertainment throughout the four night stay, also two trips out, inverary and oban, really enjoyable, would recommend.bar... More
