I was lucky enough to "have" to stay here because there wasn't enough room at my aunts house in Dunoon. It wasn't a hardship! Pete was very welcoming (he knew I was coming, as he knows my aunt quite well), showed me my single room on the first floor, with a view over the Clyde - I did spend a... More

In for lunch with a friend today. Food fresh, good portion sizes and really reasonable. Scampi was beautiful but I had food envy when I saw them bringing out the fish for someone! Will be back for it ASAP :-) Dunoon has missed a place like this. Lovely views, lovely food, great service - fantastic!

We spent two weeks in Dunoon and stumbled across the Osbourne while looking for a decent Sunday lunch in the area, a task that was disappointingly difficult. On arrival myself, my wife and our 10 month old daughter were met with a full restaurant and thought our luck was out. However, Pete very kindly squeezed us in and we were... More

Stayed at the Osborne for 2 nights and cannot fault it in anyway. A very warm welcome was given by Pete. I stayed in the single bedroom , which was very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. As I was visiting family, I did not dine in the restaurant for lunch or dinner but I thoroughly enjoyed the full Scottish breakfast... More

From the very warm welcome from Pete to the amazing food and lovely room we would recommend this hotel. Amazing wood burner and relaxing atmosphere started our family dinner off to a great start. The staff obviously enjoy working in this lovely hotel/pub/restaurant and the food was delicious and beautifully presented, worthy of a Michelin star. Breakfast was cooked to... More

Queen Victoria spent her Summers at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. If she was still alive today she would opt for The Osborne in Dunoon. From the first greeting from mine host Pete until the departing handshake four days later nothing was too much trouble. Our view over the Clyde was stunning even wAtching the winter storms arriving... More

Stayed at The Osbourne for a few nights. The food is excellent and good value for money. There are several real ales as well. The full Scottish breakfast is one of the best and will keep you going all day as well. The rooms are newly decorated and clean. Pete and Elliott are fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble.... We had a lovely break in this pub/hotel. Spent 2 nights and ate here both nights. The food was excellent, fresh and locally sourced. Predominantly good quality meat and sublime seafood however if you are vegetarians I'm sure you just need to ask. The dry cured venison, pear and blue cheese salad is a must have.....I loved it so much... More

Our second lunch at The Osborne. Great atmosphere, great food, friendly service and wonderful views. Unfortunately we live around 30 miles away but any excuse to visit The Osborne is a good one. We shall return!
