We thoroughly enjoyed our stay . Good food - well worth staying in for- and a reasonably priced wine cellar. We stayed in a Premier room overlooking the Clyde - very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. It is a beautiful renovation of an old house which managed to retain original features such as fireplaces, ceilings and wooden doors beautifully carved.... more

We live in the area but went recently for a family meal to this hotel and it was first class. They couldnt have been more helpful. The food was beautiful although more of vegetarian option might be better but the service was lovely the owners couldnt do anymore to make it a welcoming place to be. Would definalty go back. more

Early january is a tricky time of year for travel in Scotland. I was planning a short break to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday and she didn't want to go too far from Glasgow. But I also wanted somewhere that would make a special experience for the occasion. I couldn't have been happier with the choice of Hunter's Quay. Graham... more

Stayed at The Hunter's Quay Hotel in early July 2007. The hotel has a nice location on the lochside, has great views, provides very good food and we were made to feel welcome. The upgrade to a superior room is worthwhile, providing spacious accomodation and unbroken views across the loch. So in a nutshell, if you looking for an above... more

Our trip was business combined with pleasure. Having listened to our request, the room was selected for us by Christine. it was quiet, clean and spacious - with an enormous bathroom! We stayed for almost a week. The view over the Cowal peninsula is majestic and mindblowing and we were treated to this panorama for all our dining experiences. The... more

This is a simply wonderful little hotel run by a delightful family, supported by friendly, attentive, local staff. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and retains many of the original features - the wood panelling is just beautiful. The rooms are lovely, many with a stunning sea view. Attention to detail is paramount to the family and it shows in... more

We could not imagine a nicer small hotel...anywhere! The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The food is great. The location is right at the water. Chris and Grham are wonderful hosts. This is a great location for visiting the national park...that also leaves you within an easy ferry/drive to Glasgow International Airport. more

The hospitality could not have been more gracious and personal. The care was flawless.....the attention to detail was done to the nth degree and the food.....well the food was to die for! Although its been two years since our last stay, my wife and find ourselves fondly remembering our trip to Dunoon and the Hunters Quay Hotel.....our bit of Scotland. more

Some years ago, according to locals, the Hunters Quay Hotel left more than a little to be desired. Then, along came the present owners who set about systematically gutting and revamping the building, preserving the best and making sure that everything new reflected their high standards. Today, the Hunters Quay is a delightful and extremely elegant place to stay. The... more
