stayed here in July, for our wedding Anniversary, the hotel is undergoing an extensive refurbish, it did not disturb our stay. room was lovely, bathroom was the size of some rooms in hotels, great river views. food was lovely, bar reasonably priced. Dunoon is near by for a night out if you don't want stay in the hotel.

When you think about doing something special for your 25th wedding anniversary, where best to go then the place you met your soul mate. We met in the Hunters Quay Hotel over 26 years ago and returned this week for our anniversary. What a pleasant, wonderful experience we had. The owner, Jean-Laurent and his sister Ann-Marie, whet above and beyond... More

I booked this hotel for myself and my young daughter in the expectation that it would be comfortable and relaxing for my daughter who would be competing at Cowal Gathering. When I arrived at the hotel at approx. 6pm I was greeted by a very confused looking owner. He was clearly not expecting any new guests and had double booked... More

Unfortunately my wife and I only had one night to stay in this lovely establishment, but we certainly weren't disappointed. Very friendly staff, beautiful period decor, amazing view and excellent breakfast. Will certainly be back!!

Lovely old building which must have been refurbished to a high standard a few years back. Now needs a bit of TLC (windows single glazed, older bathroom suite, gutters leaking etc.) Comfortable bed and great sea views. Door was locked on arrival with numbers pinned to door to call to gain entry? No restaurant, had to go to hotel next... More

I was fortunate enough to be able to book the hotel's best room for 3 nights, & having stayed in another double room last year I knew that a treat was in store. Great, spacious room with lovely sea & hill views, big, comfortable bed. Bath & shower were excellent (great to have both). Everywhere was very clean which is... More

We actually had a really lovely 4 nights stay and the manager could not have been more accommodating. Due to the fact that we drove up from South East England, we arrived a little later than we had wanted to but we were shown our room and details taken the next day so that we could have a bit of... My husband and I stayed three night here. It was a great hotel to stay. And the gentlemen could not have been morn helpful. Friendly.. the room we had overlooked the ferry never heard any noise. The room we had was very comfortable. Clean. And great view.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a visit to see my wife's family. Jean Laurent the manager was very pleasant and we enjoyed our trip and had a room with a fantastic sea view. It is a very traditional style building and in a beautiful location. Our breakfast was included and it was very adequate. Would stay here again... More

Hunters Quay is a beautiful hotel! We visited it as a couple living in Scotland and always looking for little hidden gems like that! It overlooks the sea and if you are lucky to have booked a room with sea view you can admire it from your room! The rooms are spacious and clean, and very well decorated. The dining... More
