Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights in October whilst my boyfriend did his commercial diving trial day. After reading reviews about James we were looking forward to meeting him but never did which was a shame. The lady in charge Wendy was very nice , but perhaps a little too nice for us anti social southerners. The... More

We stayed at Dhailling Lodge during the Cowal Highland Gathering and it did not disappoint. James has a delightful sense of humor and is a fantastic host. We had the room overlooking the Clyde which was spotless and most comfortable. The fluffy robes are a wonderful plus. Breakfast is great and having dinner there is an absolute delight! Because of... We spend 3 nights during the highland games at the guest house. A 10 minutes walk from the city center, situated at the seashore - only a road between house and sea. Not really bothering, not too much traffic. Nice view. The house is an older, charming house. Our room was well equipped, nice view. The bathroom a bit small.... More

This was a wonderful visit. James' sense of humor and knowlege of the area made for a great visit. The food was out of this world. This was one of our very favorites in a 16 day tour. After dinner we were able to stroll the waterfront and enjoy a peaceful evening, followed by drinks (we supplied) or coffee in... More

Thanks to this guest house, My Mother had a bed for two nights after the Glenmorag 'Hotel' couldn't make a phone call to get a lift fixed. At such short notice the service was fantastic, Breakfast was very nice and tasty, mom says she wished they had gone there instead for all of the holiday.

James is so gracious, his B&B so comfortable and meals absolutely delicious! Six of us stayed at Dhailling Lodge while on tour with Best Scottish Tours. (What a great choice, like everything else, Jen and Matt!) This place is what every bed and breakfast should be. The home itself is a warm, welcoming Victorian that's nicely decorated, immaculately clean, cozy... More

We stayed at Dhailling House in June and couldn't have been happier. James is the ultimate B&B host. He met us at our car and helped with our luggage while telling us all about the guest house. Dhailling House is IMMACULATE from the front door down to the corner of your room. Everything is tastefully decorated and the fluffy robes... More

We had looked at several nearby hotels and B&B's and their ratings and determined that some had obviously been recruiting friends or whatever to rate them above this one to skew the numbers. Well, numbers can lie, and anything less than a 10 or perhaps a hundred on the five scale would not properly rate this place. The people, the... More

The first night of our 7 night tour with Best Scottish Tours (excellent tour company) was at Dhailling Lodge. The rooms were bigger than expected for a B&B, and VERY clean. James, the owner couldn't have been any nicer, he brought us a bottle of wine to enjoy on the terrace before we were served an excellent dinner. The location... More

This was our third visit to Dhailling Lodge and we received a very warm welcome from James. Nothing was too much trouble and our room was really nice - spotlessly clean and everything you could want provided. Wonderful views and delicious breakfast along with plenty of advice on what to see in the area. This is one of our favourite... More
