We stayed for a night having read the excellent reviews and were very pleased. Our host Richard was charming and made us feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable and the view over the loch stunning both in the rain during the evening and at sunrise in the morning. Breakfast was good too. Would happily stay again. The plumbing... Such a beautiful location and charming hosts, we had Heron Room and spent quite a lot of time watching the heron from the bedroom window, along with Curlews and Oystercatchers , not to mention the the gannets putting on a great show in the mornings. The decor is perfect with excellent prints on the walls, large comfy bed and Molton... More

This is, without doubt, a most wonderful unassuming , delightful house to visit for bed and breakfast. First, the situation. . .on the Holy Loch , with views unrivalled almost anywhere . The discreet attention to your every need is just wonderful. Agreeing with all the other reviews of its excellence , this is just a 'proper' place to be.... More

The room we had at The Anchorage was stunning with a beautiful view out over Holy Loch. The room was spotless, breakfast was quite good and our hosts were very helpful. Two pieces of advice for travelers, however. 1. Especially if it's a BEAUTIFUL summer evening outside your window when you retire ... close the blinds. Otherwise, you'll find, as... More

This is an excellent B&B, beautifully situated with superb views across Holy Loch. The two rooms we occupied were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, the scrambled eggs with salmon being particularly tasty. Richard, the charming and affable host, was most helpful, even offering to drive us back from the local pub. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending The... More

The Anchorage is a lovely place to stay. Richard made us most welcome, the room was very clean and comfortable. You felt at ease here and that you were actually staying in someone's home which was great. Very good breakfast. Thank you for a very enjoyable couple of days.

Once again Richard was the perfect host. We left our car after staying for a weekend to go on a cycle tour. When we returned a week later Richard even made sure the heating was turned up for us knowing we may be cold from a wet days cycling. We stayed in both Gull and Oystercatcher and both are to... More
