We spotted 'The Anchorage' last year whilst touring in the area & decided to stay there this year for 2 nights. The loch road from the B & B towards Dunoon & beyond has stunning scenic views & is very well kept & ferries frequently operate from the loch side over to Greenock. The house is attractive & situated on... More

Stayed 2 nights in the Heron Room giving superb views across Holy Loch and up the Clyde. The bedroom was very spacious with a large comfortable bed and more than adequate en-suite bathroom. We were given tea on arrival and the room had excellent facilities to make your own hot drinks in the morning. The breakfasts were superb be they... More

Richard is a marvellous host and was very helpful in offering advice on where to eat. We stayed in Heron room which had a wonderful outlook. The room was very large with a huge, comfortable bed. Breakfast is very good and we were really quite sorry to have to check out.

Richard was wonderfully welcoming on our arrival; and it just got better through the rest of our 6 night stay. The room was big, bright and comfortable. The breakfast was simply outstanding. And the host couldn't have been more cheerful, helpful or engaging. Thankyou Richard for a terrific stay.

We stayed here on the first night of a cycling holiday in Scotland. The owner was very welcoming, took our bikes in out of the weather, drove us to the nearest pub for our dinner, and provided a fabulous breakfast. We had a room with a bath which was much appreciated after a long day of cycling. We would highly... More

We stayed for a night having read the excellent reviews and were very pleased. Our host Richard was charming and made us feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable and the view over the loch stunning both in the rain during the evening and at sunrise in the morning. Breakfast was good too. Would happily stay again. The plumbing...
