Dear Solo Traveller from London Sue & Alan wish to compliment& thank you for your review. It has cheered us up so much; especially as we are undergoing so many renovations. Sorry about the bare bits around some of the wall switches while we were being completely rewired. We look forward to meeting you again soon. Have a lovely Christmas...

I, too, was taken in by the favorable reviews for this place. As a solo traveler in Folkestone to celebrate my birthday with a trip to Calais, I was given the garden room. Maybe the other rooms are better, cleaner and less beaten up than my room was. The walls were poorly patched or needed patching, the woodwork needed cleaning... more

Dear Occidental Tourist Sorry for the delay in answering your review and that you were so disappointed with your holiday with us. Alan has had his knuckles rapped for being abrupt but would like to point out that he did e-mail you about our location and recommended you get a cab or phone Sue for a lift! We request that...

I read all the reviews on TA before booking this B & B, and liked what I read, particularly about them being pet-friendly. The purpose of our stay was to collect our dog who was entering the UK after doing her 6 months "quarantine" in Spain. I am sad to report that the service we received was just short on... more

Alan and Sue are sorry over the delay in answering your review as we were so disappointed in your comments, for, long ago we were constantly being asked if we would accommodate dogs with their owners. Therefore we decided to use ‘Room One’, a ground floor, double ensuite with door leading to our garden for this purpose. We have gradually...

We went off the one review here and found it to be accurate. Loved the location. Was walking distance to many things to do as well as a good location with a car to drive and sight see. Room was clean and basic. We're provided bath towels and soap. Biscuits were provided in room with guest serving tray. Breakfast was... more

A great guest house located a short walk from Folkestone town centre. We stayed here for three nights while walking the North Downs Way in Kent. There is limited parking in the driveway outside or you can park in the street, we were lucky enough to find a space outside every day. Sue and Allan are very friendly hosts. We... more

Hello and thank you for a lovely review. We took note about the instant coffee and Sue immediately purchased a few 'Cafetieres' and all our guests are now supplied with real coffee. They all seem to love it and ask for more! Hope to see you all again one day. Regards Alan Horton
