***Ignore what other people moan about!!*** I stayed here last weekend with my partner and both of our mothers. We arrived at 11pm on a Friday night and found parking outside the hotel on the road. We were greeted at the check in desk, check-in was easy and we were taken to our rooms. My room was up quite a... More

My family and i stayed at the Lismore for one night staying in a family room, and a double room. Our room was number 11 (on the first floor overlooking the garden) which was a very large room with 2 single beds and 1 double bed. The room was very basic and although it was clean, it was crying out... More

We stayed one night at the Lismore Hotel whilst visiting friends in Folkestone. On locating the hotel, the parking is very limited, the nearest space we found was in a small (public?) car park 250m around the back of the hotel. Checking in was fine and the concierge was welcoming and helpful, however that was the best of our experience... More

Cons: The room (no 22) was quite small and was decorated in the style of your grandma’s spare room. It had a 1970's style pink and brown bathroom suite. The shower head wouldn’t fit in its holder, so you had to stand against the corner of the shower for it to have any effect. It had your grandma’s portable TV... More

I booked at the last minute - LateRooms.com - and was pleased to be offered a room at a price I could afford that was so close to Dover and other ferry ports in the middle of July. I arrived later than intended, but there was no problem about checking in. There is no restaurant attached to the hotel -... More

We stayed for one night before taking an early morning ferry. We arrived early Thursday evening, and parked (free) in the street right outside. The room was basic, but spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The communal rooms were very pleasant, and they have a pretty garden, plus a pool table and table football available free. The staff were... More
