We've stayed at The Wycliffe many times, and in all seasons, and are always well looed after. The service is first class, with a delicious, cooked to order breakfast, and the rooms are comfortable, bright and airy. Kate and Mike are first class hosts.

Just spent a night at the Wycliffe Guest House at Folkestone. Dropped our bags off early and was met by the delightful Kate and her husband Mike. An easy short walk into town or the oceanfront and with lots of off street parking. Lovely high ceilings, decorated in a welcoming and cosy style with a very comfortable bed. Rooms are... More

Good location close to motorway and not far from Calais, dogs welcome for a small and reasonable charge, good parking, walking distance to pubs restaurants 3-5 minutes. Room 8 is small, but comfortable and water pressure in shower weak. Breakfast excellent. Very nice hosts. Good value.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Dover. We chose The Wycliffe because it is dog friendly. We found the owner very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Nothing was too much for the owner who even left us a packed breakfast as we left early! Would we use this hotel... More

Stayed at this establishment as it was as close as I could get to Dover at short notice. First time I've stayed in a privately run bed and breakfast, usually stay in chain hotels. Strangely for a B&B, breakfast was at an additional cost. Our welcome was friendly and our room was clean and of a good size, although rather... More

I booked this on a Bed and Breakfast site, Folkestone. We come from Germany and think Bed and Breakfast is Bed and Breakfast. OK, I bet I missed some small print but it was not obvious that the price was Bed only. You have to pay 7 GPB per person extra when you get there for breakfast, so I think... More

Nothing too much trouble, friendly genuine staff, fabulous breakfasts, large rooms, spotlessly clean, with large guest lounge and honesty bar, dogs welcome. I would fully recommend this hotel to other visitors. No smoking.

Very clean and beautiful room. I traveled alone for a 1 night trip as was missing the beach being in London for a while. Its a quaint little place with a homely feel. The location is key as the beach cliff is 2 mins away. you need to walk down steps through a nature trail for 10 mins from the... More

My husband I stayed at the Wycliffe whilst visiting my mother, who lives close by. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was bright and very clean with a lovely view of the green and church behind. Breakfast , each day,was superb. They know the meaning of a full English!! Nothing was too... More

Excellent...we chose because it had such reviews and we were not disappointed. Very clean, beautiful room, excellent on-suite. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and they were more than happy accommodate dietary requirements (coeliac disease).
