After reading reviews I was a bit wary but we found this hotel to be a very pleasant place to stay, we asked for a sea view and we got it, was a very easy place to find and fabulous situation right on the sea front. Very easy access to town Centre only a 5 minute walk , left car... More

This hotel is ideally situated on the seafront in Folkestone, and we use it before or after a Eurotunnel trip to France due to its location. The lobby/lounge area is very homely, the room was clean and tidy and the bed extremely comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful from start to finish, the young man who served us at breakfast... We had our wedding reception here last night. Everything was faultless. Ian the manager simply could not do enough for us and this attitude was the same amongst the rest of the staff. Rooms were well decorated and comfortable and very spacious and breakfast was very generous and tasty. In addition, the price was great value for money. We are... More

Andrew & Jenny so glad to get your feedback and to be part of your Wedding celebrations! I will pass along your kind words to all the team!! I will warn you though, your superb cake display was so delicious looking and along with the top tier as a massive cupcake, this has left the majority of the team tempted... More

Friendly staff, mornings as well as evenings. Nice rooms, lot better than the last time I visited. Good location, very walkable to the shops or the beach. As stated there's no on-site parking available, try to arrive early in the evening, more chance of available street parking. Cooked breakfast: if you order only a few items, they should give you... The hotel was quite a bit old and shabby. The elevator is tiny and wooden, the beds hard and squeaky. But it wasn't dirty, it wasn't unbearable. We only stayed one night so it was a great location, cheap, and we really didn't need much. If you're just looking for a cheap basic place to stay- this is great, just... More

Great value for money, excellent position on the leas over looking the channel, extremely helpful and cheery staff. The hotel offers great views of the channel, it's situated just a 2 min walk from the town centre and its a pleasant 10 min walk to the fishing harbour. The Leas cliff hall is a 30 second walk away. We had... More

I looked at reviews prior to staying here and all I can say is that if anyone has a gripe about the service, accommodation or food at the Southcliff - then they should be sent to the Grand Burstin - we've now stayed at both and there is no comparison (apart from price) to the Southcliff. ALL staff were helpful... More

We stopped here overnight and have to say we got excellent value for the price we paid. The check-in was easy, the guy was very friendly (as were all the staff). The rooms were clean and the water hot - just what you want for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good value with as much tea/coffee and toast as you... More

We recently stayed at The Southcliff on a stopover from the continent. We found the hotel easily using out Sat Nav. It is situated right on the coast overlooking the Channel. The hotel does not have any parking but they provide tokens for £2.00 a day. We were only staying overnight and paid for a spot almost outside the restaurant... More

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago with my boyfriend on a Saturday night. Overall first impressions were good, man and woman on reception were friendly enough. if you need to park outside then it's £2 for a permit. We were upgraded to a sea view room for free, which I thought was a nice touch. Room was large, bed... More
