I have to admit that I booked this hotel thinking it was the Best Western place I had previously stayed in, just a block away. It came as an unpleasant surprise to find out I was wrong. Avoid this place at all costs. It is run down and very scruffy, the only saving grace being that our room had a... More

Our room was 108 at the back overlooking a Carpark. The room was large enough to accommodate us AND 2 suitcases, and was serviced every day with clean towels and sheets if we wanted. We are into the 6th day of an 11 night stay, and have no issues with the hotel. It is was it is, and others have... More

Booked here for 2 nights and was disgusted at the state of the hotel! We checked in and was told where our room was. Asked about parking and had to pay £2 for 24 hrs but werent guaranteed a parking space! Walked to our room, different carpets on the stairs half way up..... got to our room, no 25, and... More

I'd have to concur with all the other reviews of this hotel. It seems that most people use this place as a one night stop-over when getting on or off a ferry. It seems the word "cheap" is used comparatively as I've stayed in cheaper and better places, although to be fair, not in Folkestone. I don't know whether I... More

I can only agree with many other reviews here that this is a shabby & poorly maintained building, clearly a building & decor that has seen better days. BUT, I opted for cheap online, & in this respect the hotel didn't disappoint!! Sadly Folkestone seafront is, like so many other UK coastal resorts, very uninspiring!!

This hotel is very cheap and you get what you pay for. The hotel is a bit dated inside BUT it is very nice it is clean and the staff are very helpful. I will be staying here again when I am back in kent for sure

We stayed here most recently and based on previous reviews, we weren't at all shocked by the ageing decor. What I was shocked by was paying extra for a seaview, only to discover that we were stuffed in a top floor attic room on the fourth floor with sloping ceilings, which was stuffy and chlostraphobic and with just barely a... When we arrived I was a little underwhelmed but then I remember that for four people in two rooms, we were spending less than £50. Even with a couple of drinks each we'd have spent less than we would have on a room alone at a chain hotel. It's old, dated and thrown together in a way that would make... More

It really is hard trying to find somewhere reasonable to stay before using Eurotunnel. This hotel has an amazing location, but it is let down by its dated, shabby interior. Like others, I agree the cleanliness is excellent but it feels a very sad place. Wonderful views from the windows but such a pity the outside terrace feels grubby and... More

Stayed here for 1 night. From the outside Looks ok. Once your Inside though it is like stepping back to the 1980"s.Bedding was clean ,But the room we had is certainly in need of a Refurb,However for what it cost for a Night I do think you get what you pay for.....Wouldn't stay again..
