You can book this place, but you will never find it. The rooms are quite hidden. After an exhaustive -- and exhausting search -- you go to the restaurant of the same name and ask for directions. Turns out they have the keys in the restaurant, and you were meant to go there! A sign on the entrance would help... More

We stayed at a room on the first floor. The room was small but clean and cozy. The problem is, there was no table and we had no place to put even a single cup on. Well, there were bed side tables and a TV table but they were already fully occupied by books, coffee machine, dryer, etc. Breakfast offered... More

We had booked an evening meal at Rocksalt and decided to make the most of it by booking rooms also. Folkestone: Not a lot to do there...great seafood available, and lovely views, but other than the environs close to the room, there wasn't much we felt we wanted to explore. Desperate needs a couple of lovely cafés. The room: The... More

The rooms are quite quite lovely. There is no smell of fish and chips, there are hooks and hangers for clothes and a rack for a suitcase. I was only staying one night on the way to France, I needed no more. The view from my bed was stunning, I watched the activity in the harbour as the evening started.... More

Situated above a neighbouring restaurant, there are just four Rocksalt rooms. The TA reviews already gave us the ‘heads-up’ not to expect the rooms to be very big, but as we were only staying the one night, it didn’t matter that much. And they were effectively brand new, so it would be fair to assume a clean, tidy space. And... More

We just spend an overnight in Rocksalt Rooms and overall was positive experience though with much needed improvements. Our room was Fergie- sea view. Very lovely small double room with wet room. We do always prefer bath but it was not bad as well. Loved strawberries! And great Nesscaffe coffee making facilities. Thats for good coffee lovers! And now to... More

We have just returned from a night in the Rocksalt rooms (and dinner at Rocksalt). We had the 'Kittens' rooms which gives you a single bedroom as well as the double. This room was useful for storing our stuff as the main bedroom isn't large. It was a really pleasant stay and really there are only a few little 'nit-picking'... More

Have just returned from a 2 night stay at Rocksalt Rooms. We stayed in the front foom overlooking the harbour. We had an evening here to celebrate my husbands birthday. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was small but with a lovely view and the breakfast hamper was a nice touch although we did go to the lovely rooftop bar in Rock Salt diner for breakfast which at £10 each was excellent value. Had enjoyable evening meal in the... More

We stayed on a Thursday night in half term week in May. We had a room on the top floor with a sea view. First impressions good, nice room, comfortable bed and a good shower.
