To be fair we booked this hotel very last minute as it was the only one left in the area and at £40 a night it was the cheapest too, the guy running it was friendly enough and the room as much as it wasn't massive it was clean and clean towels were provided, we literally used it as a... More

You get what you pay for! The hotel is very tired and needs a complete revamp, or bulldozing! Stairs are poorly lit, no sign of fire escape. Room is alright with very soft beds. Curtains are effective at keeping sunlight out. Shower eventually ran hot. Virtually no parking anywhere near hotel unless very lucky. If this is 2 star I... More

We decided to travel to France for a holiday. We choose a hotel on booking .com . It was close to the euro tunnel . We pulled up outside it looked like they built tin sheds at the front . I made my way to the front door and waited . The little old man was a bit rude to... More

On our way to France me and my family stayed in Folkestone as it was easy to get to the euro tunnel from, on arrival we were put off as the outside had some very old and dated scaffolding around it. As we got inside it smelt very bad and was very old fashioned, the room we were given was... More

Myself & my husband decided to take the kids on a little adventure around kent, we booked this hotel the night before as it was the only hotel was availability. First impressions were not great, we were greeted by a lovely lady- the lift appeared to have just been sprayed with a airfreshner to rid of the stagnant smell of... More

Decorations were disgusting and dated! Nothing was clean I even found a mushroom growing in the room I stayed in! Wasn't that cheap compared to the burstin cost it £20 more!! The window didn't shut properly so there was a constant wind making the room cold and damp! Felt like a squatter!!

The hotel stinks, no clean bedding, there were cats absolutely everywhere which is a blessing as they r chasing the mice away I cannot put into words how crap this hotel is, I'd rather sleep in my own poo and wee than stay here, it needs knocking down

This hotel is run by a lovely local couple who are so helpful and accommodating. They know the area well. It's a quirky old Victorian building very close to the cliff top promenade in folkestone that overlooks the sea. We found the rooms old fashioned in decor but clean and comfortable- for a family room excellent value.

Shower full of mastic, drawer fronts with spills down them, tired, dated, scaffolding outside. I feel sorry for the owners, they must feel trapped. I wouldn't stay there again. The beds were very uncomfortable. The place is desperately in need of someone with a lot of money to take it over.
