Myself & my husband decided to take the kids on a little adventure around kent, we booked this hotel the night before as it was the only hotel was availability. First impressions were not great, we were greeted by a lovely lady- the lift appeared to have just been sprayed with a airfreshner to rid of the stagnant smell of... More

Decorations were disgusting and dated! Nothing was clean I even found a mushroom growing in the room I stayed in! Wasn't that cheap compared to the burstin cost it £20 more!! The window didn't shut properly so there was a constant wind making the room cold and damp! Felt like a squatter!!

The hotel stinks, no clean bedding, there were cats absolutely everywhere which is a blessing as they r chasing the mice away I cannot put into words how crap this hotel is, I'd rather sleep in my own poo and wee than stay here, it needs knocking down

This hotel is run by a lovely local couple who are so helpful and accommodating. They know the area well. It's a quirky old Victorian building very close to the cliff top promenade in folkestone that overlooks the sea. We found the rooms old fashioned in decor but clean and comfortable- for a family room excellent value.

Shower full of mastic, drawer fronts with spills down them, tired, dated, scaffolding outside. I feel sorry for the owners, they must feel trapped. I wouldn't stay there again. The beds were very uncomfortable. The place is desperately in need of someone with a lot of money to take it over.

We stayed here for one night prior to an event and had to stay again for one night at the end. Friendly owner but very dated accommodation. The beds were very strange with soft mattesses surrounded with hardboard which caught your legs in the night. Towels were clean but stained and the wiring left something to be desired. Difficult to... More

Dont waste your time and money here! Its disgusting! I wish I'd checked the reviews before booking. When we arrived there was a traffic warden outside,I asked if I needed a ticket as I was staying at the hotel? He told me the hotel will give me a 24 hour pass charged at £1.00, They charged £2.00. We got there at... More

After finally finding the correct door along narrow corridoors and unlit, unsafe staircases we were greeted with a completely dated and filthy room. The toilet leaked, floors were sticky and the bathroom was full of dust and mould. Highlights included a lovely orange bathroom suite the same hue as David Dickinson's face and a tasteful Harry Potter bin (squashed). There... More

Stayed here last weekend, and fell into the old favourite tourist trap and paid the balance of the bill without seeing the room first. It was very dated even though I think it had been recently redecorated. The carpet was heavily stained, the bathroom was circa 1950 with a nasty plastic contraption on the bath taps to turn them into a shower of sorts.Even...
