Folkestone seems a little rough around the edges, the hotel was also. However, it was a good sized room and comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable the cereal was not as fresh as it could have been as was the coffee and tea in the room.

View from our room was good. Staff were friendly. But thats as good as it got. Room was in desperate need of attention. A used soap in the wardrobe and empty food wrappers under the bed when we arrived spoke of poor cleaning. The windows whilst double glazed in front had no sound proofing so we heard every conversation outside... More

Where do I start. I'm being bitten all over my body...everything is dirty...people slamming doors and IT'S FREEZING. Nice lady on reception but that's about it. Best off saving some money and sleeping in a cardboard box. AND I AM NOT EVEN NORMALLY FUSSY!!

The Hotel is a little tired (so adjust your expectations accordingly) but this gives it a certain charm and for the location and price you won't beat it. I would stay here again - warm in the winter too. Very friendly catering staff and full English breakfast thrown in. My initial impressions were rather poor but you have to remember... More

If you want to show photos of your hotel to your friends and boast how wonderful the hotel was on your last holiday, then don't even bother to look at the Salisbury. On the other hand, if you want to wallow in the feeling of having found a real bargain of a hotel, then look no further. On arrival, the... More

The exterior is nice and the staff polite and that is where it ends. My room had a heavily worn beige carpet, there were HUGE damp stains on the bedroom walls and the double-bed was akin to a camp-bed. The chairs in the room were worn, the "en-suite" had not curtain around the shower which was really just affixed above... More

Do not stay at this discusting hotel. The worst place I have ever had the misfortune to have been ripped off at. Very dirty. I dearnt have the breakfast. Please think carefully about sleeping here. If no other hotels available, sleep in the car or on the beach.

Very good accomodation at a fantastic price. Superb view of the sea, with a lovely Edwardian atmosphere. The place is definately caught in the the early 1900s, which is charming. Ideal for a next day trip to the continent. We liked it and intend to stay there again the night before our next trip to France. For us it was... More

Clean, basic room & towels. Staff helpful and friendly. Hotel in definite need of refurbishment and brought back to its victorian elegance though there is evidence of new sash windows which show off the fantastic views. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't review the resaurant.
