booked for a night prior to taking early Channel Tunnel - the place is falling down! In its day it must have been a lovely building - great location right on sea front - but that is all that can be said. The whole place needs gutting and rebuilding - just awful - dirty - furniture assembled from junk shops... More

Hotel was shabby, unclean and very dated. Staff were ok, but not overly helpful. Bar wine was just awful!! But the worst thing was the 3 large bed bugs we found in our bed after realising we had been bitten!! We left in horror at 3am and the night porter didn't seem surprised when we told him what had happened!!... More

Friendly and "hard case" staff - good fun. Helpful staff as well. Room was comfortable. shower was fine, and wifi worked well in the guest / lounge areas. A good cooked breakfast each morning which set you up for the day. Give it a go it you are in Folkes

Had to park two streets away, when we were told that there was plenty of parking spaces close by. Friendly staff is the only good statement that can be made about this Hotel. Where do I begin with the bad points? Lift not working all the time, very dilapidated and dirty Hotel from top to bottom. As for the room... More

Got to the hotel and we were told where to go, I would have preferred to have been shown to my room. My room was very bright and had a wonderful sea view. My window remained open for 3 nights but then the cleaner took it upon herself to remove the piece of plastic keeping it open, she was not... More

The rooms although clean were shabby, nothing matched there was damp in our daughters room and the furniture in the hotel looked like it had come from a second hand shop. There is sheet and blankets on the bed rather that quilts. The window in our room was broken so could not be shut and the toilet did not fill up... More

I've stayed at the Salisbury on numerous occasions and I've always found it to be a genuine home from home. The staff are awesome, very accommodating, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to make my stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms are always clean, tidy and well equipped. Currently the hotel is under going some refurbishment... More

We stayed at the Salisbury for a two night break and really can't fault it. Our room was perfect with a perfect sea view, it had all we needed and was clean and tidy, upon our arrival we got a lovely warm welcome from John who gave us a lot of information whilst we enjoyed a drink at the bar.... We stayed in this hotel for night . The staff were friendly . But the hotel is run down and unclean this hotel needs a massive injection of money to bring it back to life the location of the hotel is great over looking the sea front and just 2mins walk from the town centre .
