great location close to the main street and to the promenade and beach.limited free parking and free wifi in the main lounge. Breakfast (including cooked) was smallish but acceptable. Rooms are very dated and need renovation, but the sheets and towels were clean and the room tidy.

stopped over before channel tunnel crossing, I suppose it was ok distance wise that is the only positive. Did not feel clean in fact felt decidedly stale and somewhat wonky! Hot and stuffy really noisy outside. Would not recommend and would never stay again!

My family had the most horrific experience at this hotel for the following reasons: This hotel is a completely disgusting and must never get cleaned. The smell of grease and cigarette smoke is unbearable. Carpets are so dirty with stains and are threadbare. Curtains do not fit the windows and do not open/close. Dust and debris everywhere The furniture is... More

Omg where do I start, we stayed for one night due to travelling on the eurotunnel. Really wished we hadn't. When we walked in the smell of stale cigarettes and damp was overbearing! We had a family room, which was vile, it smelt of damp, urine and again stale cigarettes. I think the beds must be 50 years old as... More

The hotel is quite run down and needs some refurbishment but that is all forgotten when you get inside and are greeted by the 2 very helpful and friendly young ladies Jessica and Hayley. These members of staff will go out of their way to help with any problems that should occur and know how to have a laugh and... More

We only stopped here over night. It's very old fashioned, it also looks and feels very dirty. My dogs bed is cleaner then the one I slept in that night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only way this hotel could be saved is a total referb.

Basic hygiene is amiss... we had a stagnant pooh and urine in our toilet . Yes the hotel.needs a lot of investment which is appreciated but pure basic hygiene is missing. No sheet on bed just bottom sheet and scratchy blanket . This hotel needs the hotel inspector .......staff are friendly but no customer service at all. Reception answering a... More

After waiting for the barmaid to stop chatting and give us our room details, we were soon back down to advise that our room had a leak. We were changed to another room just as grubby. However the place has charm, high ceilings, gigantic rooms, great view of the sea and perfect location. Price was good so all round it... More

Dirty, noticed this as soon as we entered the hotel reception. Room was so dirty, shower room tiles never even get clean. Can't understand if one can run this place and called it a hotel. If anyone cannot find the place to stay then my advice would be, just don't go.

The Hotel is in an excellent position with a lovely view over the sea and that is where the good news ends. The hotel is in very urgent need for updating and cleaning. When we were shown our room a carpet was folded up at one end making it a trip hazard and there was some old soap and hairs,... More
