Stayed at the Salisbury for 3 nights on a coach tour to Folkestone. Total cost for bed, breakfast and evening meal at hotel and half day tour to Canterbury plus a day in Bruges for £99 and that was including return transport from our home town of Bedford. Hotel was a little tired but nice and clean, all the staff... more

Stayed here for a weekend themed on a fantasy world cruise, calling at Hawaii and the Wild West. The food the 1st night was OKish but what a quiz and Bingo had to do with themed Hawaiian entertainment I've yet to find out. At breakfast the owner wanted me to share the toast of another couple at my table, until... more

Apart from the friendly welcome, there is very little positive feedback I could give. The romms were'shabby chic' without the chic !! The furniture was scratched and worn. The shower room /toilet was just a large cupboard with sliding door that didn't close fully. The toilet roll holder was broken and swinging on the wall. The sink was in the... more

We stayed at the Salisbury hotel in June for two night when we went to France for the day.... The hotel was basic but clean and great value for money, The location is good....on the front and about ten minuets walk into the center of Folkestone, and about a five minute drive to the Channel tunnel. Breakfast was good but... more

Didn't expect a palace considering the price and some of the older reviews. However all staff encountered were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and had a sea view. Room was a good size, basically furnished and the good sea view was a real bonus. The beds were comfortable and the linen fresh and clean. Tea and coffee... more

Was worried about reviews for this hotel, BUT found it to be very good value for money, super location right on sea front, nice, clean rooms and good breakfast. Lovely sitting in lounge over looking the sea... helpful, friendly staff - even negotiated a discount on the room! - very well priced, big double room and extra bed, all requests... more

Shabby is the best word to describe this hotel. I didnt expect much as we had paid £50 for a double but..... the decor is terrible. The fire doors slam or creek- not good if your room is nxt to one. The rooms on the 3rd floor are like a rabbit warren - not sure i would have found my... more

we stayed for four nights at this hotel. however we were unhappy with the time we had to wait for our meals. and some of the staff were not very helpful. the room we had was ok but the bathroom was shabby. i think this hotel needs some tender loving care and it would be a nice place to stay.... more

Stayed for one night and on that basis it was ok. However I would not stay any longer as the general lack of care and attention would drive me to distraction. Little things but the kind of stuff that you would think they would have done like proper direction signs to the rooms, light switches that you can't reach from... more
