Spent 2 nights here with partner and aged father-in-law. Parking was very limited, no disabled bays available, so parked on street, but was quite safe. Reception staff welcoming and understood needs of aged parent. Lift very tiny - claimed to take 4 people, but realistically only 2 in comfort. Our double room was warm and spacious, appeared to have been... more

This hotel is well situated on the sea front with limited free parking outside. During the week you are unlikely to find a parking space during office hours but we were able to park a few hundred yards away then move our car later. We got a very good rate for B&B so were inclined to overlook the fact that... more

The hotel is located on the main front of Folkestone and my room had a good view of the sea and France in the distance. A lovely old building, very attractive, which has been carved up into a very pleasant hotel. Room was a good size with dressing table, coffee table and a couple of chairs. Iron within the room... more

We booked a last minute week end away for a relaxing break by the sea. On the check-in, the receptionist was pleasant and told us that dinner was being on offer for a lesser price. Afternoon tea in the lounge was charming. Dinner and service were very good. The bar were we had a night cap was tastefully decorated, and... more

Just returned from a one night stay at, what is supposed to me one of the best hotels in Folkestone.. Unfortunately this is not a very good hotel. When I telephoned to book I was told that there was no car park, but street parking. Beware it is very difficult to park anywhere near the hotel. The room was old... more

Just returned from one night at the hotel and as long as you think more Fawlty Towers than Hotel du Vin (in terms of location and decor, though not service), then the hotel is more than fine. Spacious room, comfortable bed, loads of towels, very warm room, good views of the sea, good service in the restaurant and at least... more

Very cold - no heating at night despite snowy weather. Very uncomfortable, saggy bed. Only one towel, despite it being a double room booked for two. more

I booked one nights stay at this hotel over the phone. 10 minutes after I had booked a standard room, the hotel receptionist rang me back, she said she had made a mistake, there were no standard rooms available and offered me an Executive Suite for £95 instead of the usual £105.00. We agreed on £85.00. Having upgraded to an... more

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Channel Swim group in September. I had a single room, right at the very top, under the rafters! It was very small, but as it was only for a few nights, it was adequate - not sure if visitors from the US would say the same though...as their 'single' rooms are... more

A traditional hotel, on the delightful clifftop in Folkestone. Very nice lounge area overlooking the grassy clifftop. Separate bar area very pokey and not particularly welcoming. Bedroom was a big let-down. When we booked we asked if the room would have a sea view, and were told it had a harbour view which sounded fine. Unfortunately what they mean by... more
