Stayed to visit War and Peace Show, so a nice area to stay. Room was nice and good value for money. Downside though, the cleaners need to work better. Very thick dirt on all skirting boards and around the bed. There were tea/ coffee stains on bathroom tiles which when i checked, could have easily been wiped off. Bed was... More

I have been staying at this Hotel since April '15 for business purposes, generally once a week. The breakfast is better than average, staff are friendly and I have not tried their dinner as I got hooked to an Indian restaurant down the road. The place has always been clean and well presented, luckily I have always got rooms which... More

This hotel is in a good location for a 10 minute walk into Folkestone town or sea front. It is in need of some refurb, but in my experience my stay was comfortable. The lift was only big enough for 2 people and stairs are narrow and steep. Floors are a bit creaky and walls are thin, and yes seagulls... More

Parking not specifically for hotel but we got a space and paid only for an hour as free between 6pm-8am, hotel also had vouchers for £1 that covered you until midday. Old style hotel, tiny lift and multiple flights of stairs. Room was spacious and beds comfortable, chairs and table in room also comfy and everything was clean. Dog not... More

I booked in for one night whilst on business in the area and that was one night too many. On walking through the entrance you are met with a strong smell of smoke which was in reception area, restaurant and lounge area, I believe they had a fire here seven months ago. I sat and did some work in the... More

There are pros and cons to this hotel: pros, excellent restaurant, very well located for travelling via the Channel tunnel, well appointed and clean with good bar, staff very friendly and helpful. Cons are that parking can be difficult, parts of the hotel are faded, and the bathroom was over hot as the heated towel rail had no controls and... More

We stayed overnight on our way from France. The room was very basic ant tired. But we stayed on the top floor and had fantastic sea view. The staff was friendly, food was good. We had a hot breakfast and it was good too. I would recommend this hotel as it 's well located and good value for money.

I stayed here for work .. Rooms really tired . The breakfast was really poor ... Trying to talk to one waiter he turned his back on me !!!!!! I wasn't charged for my scrambled egg and salmon that had been fried and resembled vomit on a plate ....

We recently stayed overnight before travelling to France on Le Shuttle. As we were travelling with our small dog we were only interested in hotels reporting to be"dog friendly". Last year we stayed in another Folkestone hotel ( The Burlington) they provided a dog bed and a bowl in the room, dogs were allowed everywhere except for the main dining... More

The hotel is well located in the town of Folkestone and offers parking (£1 a day) with food available throughout the day in good sized rooms. The rooms are basic but offer everything you need and are cleaned to a good standard daily. They do get very hot however and the fans that are available don't do enough to cool... More
