Although very dated and a bit shabby, the basics are there! We went to Folkestone for a family get-together. We booked six rooms and each of us had a different experience. Our room was large and airy. It was clean and reasonably functional. As previous reviewers have remarked, the decor is awful, with many patterns all vying for attention. But,... More

Where is the Hotel Inspector when you want her? This was a last minute booking for 3 nights over a weekend as I could not get 3 consecutive nights anywhere else. Foreign hotels have definitely spoilt us but we expected better than this. From the outside it looks OK, reception was OK, our bedroom was dire! Pink candle wick bedspreads,... More

Needed a place to stay close to the Eurotunnel but the Premier Inn was full. Booked this hotel with a little trepidation. We are a family of 4 and my eldest is 17 years. If the Premier Inn had room they wanted to charge me for 2 rooms because we were classed as 3 adults and a child. The Langhorne... More

Stayed in this hotel (time warp) last night with my wife and three kids. Never again ! Toilet flush didn't work, shower was made for small people who like cold showers, bed was lumpy, candlewick covers from the seventies and a wall hung radio that I assume still plays Dave Lee Travis ! Carpet was threadbare, dirty bathroom, etc etc... More

where to start ! Family room with a bunk bed in the bay window without side rails so if the child falls out of the bed they are out the window and into the street ! a bath with a shower attachment taps don't work the only way to get water is through the attachment but then again the bathroom... Hotel was showing it's age and could do with a makeover. Off season the restaurant /bar was closed, a distinct lack of eating places/pubs in the area. Not ideal for a winter business trip when you have no inclination to venture far after work. There was a bar at the end of the road but it lacked character and not... More

I read the previous reviews, yes it`s old a sort of Victorian style hotel but i was quite happy, a friendly guy running the reception who couldn`t do enough to help greeted us and checked us in. The room i had was large, clean and just what i wanted, i knew the decor would be old but so what, my... More

This is a typical struggling seaside hotel. It has seen better days, the décor is in bad need of a spruce up and the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Everything is a bit grubby, the room we had seemed to slope to one side, the bed also sloped, the toilet didn't flush properly and the shower was terrible,... More

Very good 'typical English' hotel, close to the Leas, the famous lift and a cosy pub (Harvey's) around the corner. Very friendly staff and a nice cooked breakfast in the morning. All a traveller wants really. From what I heard in our group, the showerheads could do with replacement. Parking can be a bit of a problem in the summer,... More
