My friend and I stayed in The Ship at the weekend. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The pub is on a busy road through Sandgate but when you go around the corner to the cottage there's no through traffic and wonderful views of the sea. So peaceful. We had the Seaview suite which is lovely. Very comfortable with great views. Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine, looking at the sea is perfect. The pub is the way pubs used to be. It has stacks of character. The owners and their daughter are lovely. Breakfast was very good too. I was so impressed that I've booked on two more occasions, for my husbands birthday {he'll love the pub},and again for my daughters birthday. I'm really looking forward to my return visits.
